I'd personally say the Asus, but I'm not a huge Mac fan. Also consider trying /r/SuggestALaptop for more assistance.

What I'm not sure I get is why you need a laptop this powerful for typing notes and coding simple programs? I looked up "asus laptop" on Amazon and found this top-selling laptop for $240 (American price, but I'm figuring it will be similar for Europe) and is plenty powerful for that.

I'll post a few Android tablets and you be the judge of which one you'd like to investigate further:

1: ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 = $379.99

2: MOTOROLA XOOM = $419.99

3: Original Samsung Galaxy Tab = $314.95

4: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus = $399.99

5: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 = $479.99

Edit: As someone else mentioned, the Transformer Prime is almost out and it might be exactly what you're looking for. If you don't want to spend $500+ on the Transformer Prime though, I highly suggest looking at the slightly older Transformer TF101.

I own 3 of these Dell S2716dg

and am quite happy with them. Definitely out of your stated budget, but is one of the most inexpensive G-Sync monitors on the market.

This bitch will solve any signal problems you may be encountering.

Otherwise, it's a mom computer, bro. If she's just going to use it for email and facebook, then any 600$ comp off a best buy shelf will do. I know that's what I do for my parents. I just use what knowledge I have to make an informed decision.

I use an IOGEAR miniView Symphony KVM switch. A little pricey but works very well.

CCNA is worth getting, but whether it's worth the university cost is up to you.

I bought this book and will be doing it on my own. It comes with online videos, practice tests and labs.

If you can get another book, I would recommend this one; it is basically written to be the other book's only prerequisite, so it will take you through the language without assuming that you already know anything at all. As far as Internet tutorials, the first thing I found in a quick search that makes similarly few assumptions is this. There may be others, I'll try to look more later.

Keep in mind also that, if you want to write iOS applications, you're going to need either a Mac or some kind of hackintosh, because the tools you will need run only on Mac OS.

Like this? This one's not mac-specific. Any laptop that's .93" thin should fit.

Put it this way: No consumer gear handles that kind of speed. 10GbE chips and cards are pretty pricey on their own, and that one's at the lower end of the price spectrum. That's just for your PC; imagine having to have 5 of those in a router, plus a CPU fast enough to actually handle the routing involved. You're talking enterprise gear at that point.

Also, a lot of CAT6 is not proper CAT6, often with shielding issues and other such that can even perform worse than CAT5e will. You're always best off getting CAT5e. Seriously, gigabit internet on its own is so fast and rare that you're unlikely to find or need faster for probably a decade, and within your own house, sneakernet will always be faster.

well first , does any other application crash on you ? is your system drivers fully uptodate ? have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the application ?

I would start by reinstall of the application . and from what i can tell magix is a b rate video edit app anyways but i guess you have to work with what you have . The internet is filled with people having issues with this so called Pro video editing app . that most of us have never even heard of ... I mean all my years of IT are screaming at me that this is scam software made to be catchy and show up on a google search to unsuspected buyers ,

one such thread > https://steamcommunity.com/app/200530/discussions/0/828934723975932507/ there is a couple"solutions"

https://www.amazon.com/MAGIX-Movie-Edit-2015-Plus/product-reviews/B00NZ8YZ96/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8&sortBy=recent

amazon reviews filled with comments like " Looks like Magix staff down voted this because anyone who has used the program extensively is aware of constant crash issues. I run a intel core i7 and shouldnt have these issues but do."

Based on what I read about your laptop on this link: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-K50IJ-C1-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B002FU6BAQ , not sure if that is your exact model or not but have you/would you consider upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7. There were a ton of complaints against Vista and that may solve some issues or at the very least not bloat your computer.

There also may be an issue with your web browser, ie: chrome, firefox, internet explorer and/or some related software/plug ins?

People may be able to help more if you give more details regarding your setup and which specific model of the k50ij you have.
