Neither, Get a really good headset like a Sennheiser + a modmic, "gaming headsets" charge you ridiculous prices for a terrible quality mic and a decent headset which they act like gamers want surround sound which you don't. 7.1 is terrible for gaming. I have the Sennheiser HD 598s + a modmic
which has 10x better quality than 90% of most gaming headsets today and the combo only costs around 200$. If you have money to spare, and are looking into getting a good and worth your money headset, I would suggest getting the 2 that i just linked. Hope this helps.

I picked this up for $20 (it is now $26) and the mic sounds pretty good and the audio output is criminally good (for the price.

Here is a video of a game where I used the headset/mic. It was set a bit loud (around 60%) since it was my first time. I have since taken it down to about 40%.

This one would not play it the greatest, everything is pretty weak. While I don't normally recommend a prebuilt, they are often overpriced, I do get that some people can't or simply don't want to build themselves. What I would suggest is upping your budget a bit and going for something like this one

If you do decide to try and build your own I can give you a hand with it as well as most people who have already commented, but that decision is on you. You will definitely get more bang for your buck.

I built you computer that I think will last you quite sometime. It's a bit over your budget but if you can get some more money it will be worth it in the long run.

Total: $430 - A lot of these products are on sale right now so it could be more or less come buying the parts.

Like I said this is a build on the higher price point but it will work well for you for another 7-10 years.

I will add my vouch for this headset as well and it is on-sale on Amazon right now but it looks like they only have one left.

Still not very cheap by comparison but it's wireless so you can walk around your house with them on. The sound and bass are good for music or games, and you can control the tracks of your chosen media player with the buttons on the ear piece.

So just keybind Shift + W to Num 8 and buy a little 50g calibrating weight, fits mechanical keys perfectly.

win.

This is what I have: https://www.amazon.com/STRIX-Radeon-Polaris-Graphics-STRIX-RX480-O8G-GAMING/dp/B01J3TZJOA/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1496717230&sr=1-2&keywords=rx+480

My friend has a 1060 6gb in his PC paired with a i5 4690 (just the 4690, not overclock version), and he gets over 90 fps. Only once he dropped below 90, since he was in Cherno, and there was an 'event' going on. Having over 40 players in one small area isn't a good idea performance wise.

The card is more than $200, if you want a decent performance you will spend more. Just spending the low budget won't do much for this person as I said.

Especially if you want dayz at a comfortable rate.

Corsair H1500 sounds like what you're looking for, as far as value to money scale goes.

There are better headsets for more money, and there are better headsets without mics for the same, but the all-around balance for something under $70 that will do the job is most likely this one.

If you want to spend a bit more, check out the Logitech G35 headset. Once again, same disclaimer as above, but this is the most common ~$100 headset that's worth the cash.

I'd be dubious, the accepted wisdom is that the game runs much better on Intel CPUs. It seems to me all your buying is a rig where all the parts are in need of upgrading.

I started playing on a crappy system and then built a decent one - there's no comparison, it's like having a different game altogether.
Crappy system - you're at a major disadvantage in nearly every PvP situation, can't see thru windows, FPS plummets as soon as you go into a built up area etc. etc.

If you've got the budget for something better don't buy it, Spend the $200 on something that you'll never need too upgrade like this and this add whatever else you can afford and if you can't complete inn one go save for the rest.

The only reason I'd buy that computer is if I knew it would take me a year or so to get the money together for something better and I wanted to learn the map in the meantime. That's not necessarily a bad option - there's a lot of map to learn and the game won't hold you hand too much.

For 25 bucks less you can get 8 cores instead of 4 that run 1,5 GHz faster.

Intel Core i5-4690K => 7,701 for 235 bucks

AMD FX-9590 Eight-Core => 10,261 for 210 bucks

Edit: Already downvotet by Intel fanboiz. Don´t just downvote... post a better CPU for a better price!

Realistically yes.

I read an awesome book which talks about this, though it's covers the broader hypothetical of what would happen if all humans disappeared from the planet tomorrow.

The World Without Us.

Haha! I thought the same thing when I saw that. And I'd even use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000X0XJU

You'll probably need a mouse that has a key board on it if those exist.

Gamepads are the closest thing.

Edit: My heart goes out to you buddy, if I had the funds, I'd totally invent a mouse keypad thing.

Edit 2: This might work as an alternative. Use your thumb to move, gonna have to get a lefty version though I suppose...
