It's a great idea and we can't wait to see what you do, but don't use sharpies or oil or nail polish or any of that crap if you want a huge applause. Dye is the only true way to dye a disc as it adds no weight, doesn't affect flight at all, and lasts longer than the discs' throwable life.
To do this you can paint on dye that has been thickened using iDye Poly and a brush, or you can go ham with a fill-it-yourself marker which I would recommend as it'll be easier and probably more fun to do. You can use these which are filled with lure dye. You can also get empty markers and fill them yourself. Lure dyes/dip is recommended for these. I'll try to find the empty markers and post them here.

EDIT: These are the one's I was trying to find. There may be others but I've seen successful work with these ones.

sure? It definitely isn't "paper" unless they're making it out of plastic tree pulp.

this is what I use and it is excellent: https://www.amazon.com/10-12-Sheets-Silhouette-Permanent/dp/B01MEFXV71/ref=sr_1_12?crid=3O2R6MCME8CKZ&keywords=oracal%2B651%2Bvinyl%2Bwhite&qid=1559273765&s=gateway&sprefix=oracal%2B%2Caps%2C196&sr=8-12&th=1

you can get the multicolor pack for cheaper, but I have found that white works the best out of all of them. The clear is also really great if you prefer that, but it is more expensive.

These things I think. They are used for marking bingo cards. I would love a rundown of how it was done, it looks amazing.

I use Con-Tact Clear Matte, but I buy it at Walmart. You need to make sure the adhesive side is smooth like electrical tape, not ridged like duct tape.

I used a dishwasher detergent I found at my local grocery store. From what I've seen when using dishwasher detergent the key factor is you want something that doesn't have chlorine bleach in it.
