I invested in some proper IEMs for this exact reason. [$100, pretty good sound, replaceable cord.] (https://www.amazon.com/Shure-SE215-K-Isolating-Earphones-MicroDriver/dp/B004PNZFZ8)

There's a Bluetooth option available as well

Pretty much what it looks like it was designed for.

The nearest I can find is this : https://www.amazon.com/T-fal-TT7461-4-Slice-Toaster-Function/dp/B000F0BYRS which looks like it's more for bagels.

I stopped carrying a pocket knife after losing a couple at TSA checks. I missed it almost immediately- you'd be amazed how handy it is to be able to cut tape, cord, packaging, etc. without needing to look for or improvise a tool.

Now I have a small tool on my keychain with a 1" blade on it. It's not quite as useful as a full blade but it's never been challenged, either.

Edit: here it is, if anyone is interested. It's tough, small, and inexpensive. I've tried several and this one is by far the best I've found.

I have this, the Sonic Alert an alarm for people who are hard of hearing that vibrates the bed, it's amazing! My boyfriend is deaf and he introduced me to them. You put the puck under your mattress or pillow. It shakes everything and unless you are on horse tranquilizers, you will wake up in the morning. I used to be the kind of person who would set several alarms all over their room, and still not wake up. My bf had the analog clock, which could not differentiate between AM & PM. I got the digital one while still in college (we lived 1.5 hours apart) and never missed a morning after that. I didn't need my mama to whoop my ass in the morning any more. ;)

Took the digital one with me when I moved out, it is still going strong 2+years later. I'm not affiliated with them, I never see this topic and am excited. I used to have a real problem. Your friend probably likes theirs a lot too!

Like these!

They get a bit grubby after a week or so, I went through quite a lot. But for the six months of my engagement they worked out fine. :)

EM radiation is nothing more than the release of forms of light through a medium. This CAN be X-Rays, or Light, or Radio/TV, but the vast majority is going to be in the form of Infrared...heat energy.

"Radiation", while accurate for the situation, serves as little more than a buzzword for the media and news, for most people don't know the difference between radiation, and radioactivity.

Every electronic device you know of radiates EM energy. Almost anything you know radiates EM energy in some form. You know what most of it is? Heat. And if you REALLY want to get picky, the skull is going to absorb all of the heat energy before it even gets to your brain.

The human body is DESIGNED to withstand heat. The head especially. The skull serves as an insulator, to keep heat out, and keep the heat inside, in. Don't get worried that a little cell phone is going to overheat your brain, that's absolutely ridiculous. They'll do little but warm the surface they're in contact with.

-This book discusses the topic in some detail, and shows it to be nothing but alarmist media trying to shock you into buying a paper.

I sure hope it wasn't one of these. People like to have a good laugh but the kid could end up dying.

I like to keep it simple and reliable. This pistol is great and hits like a champ. Plus cheap as hell.

u/GriffonsChainsaw · 2 pointsr/facepalm

Well they probably didn't take that picture. Or if they did, they just used a can they had on hand to demonstrate.

Edit: Yeah, it's from the listing the seller put up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T4RH8E6/

Thank you for including this. There's a great book about the hows, whys, etc if anyone is curious. There are usually two primary forms of self-harm. Attention seeking behavior and coping behavior. The facebook post in this thread is the attention seeking kind. The coping kind is usually not something people will discuss openly or do in a clearly visible place like their forearm. When I was younger and a much more messed up person, mine was the coping kind.

There's a book you should consider reading: http://www.amazon.com/Men-Mars-Women-Venus-Understanding/dp/0060574216

It sure sorted out me and my girlfriend's relationship, and we're still very happily together after 2.5 years.

Yeah definitely very expensive but I work with vr and convenience of being able to travel with my headset made getting a vr capable laptop a priority. I would go with a desktop rig if it was just to have at my home. 17" display on amazon for 2k https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-Ultra-Thin-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B0757Z9XP6?th=1

Amazon is annoying with how accommodating they are.

I was looking at the reviews/instructions for an Octonauts tub toy I bought my kids. I checked on amazon where I bought it and it had different instructions and a slightly different look/feel to it. I looked a bit further and found that there were two different versions of the toy. I think it was a UK version and a US version.

We received the US version, but all the documentation on their site was showing the UK version. The US version was better... I forget the difference but it squirted differently or something. I sent Amazon a message just letting them know I was completely happy with the toy but that their site has the wrong info.

They refunded me like 50% of the purchase price back (which was only like $3-4) and apologized for the wrong description.

This is what we bought/received: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DJD49UW/

This is what was showing when I went back to amazon.com: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Octonauts-T7015-GUP-D-Sub-Barnacles/dp/B0053FXG6C

Yeah, the Jesus of real life was probably a pretty cool dude. The made up god-thing Jesus that people worship fucking sucks (see also: ZEALOT (book) by Reza Aslan)

It is kinda expensive, but this would get you 32oz. I am sure you could easily get bulk quantities from wholesalers though.

iPhone is better than most because of its FLAC format but you could benefit from a Nuforce iphone DAC portable amp

u/Galphanore · 3 pointsr/facepalm

I feel like people like "Hotdog" in OP's screenshot should really ready Innumeracy. Hell, everyone should but people like "Hotdog" need to read it to not sound retarded.
