True. That said, all you have to do is make sure you are using a decent Bluetooth receiver (Microsoft recommends this one), which is not connected to any other Bluetooth devices and plugged into a USB 2.0 port. That's it.

Older Atari arcade equipment had a pretty interesting testing process. They had the biggest guy in the company try to break them. If he could break it, you had to redesign it.

I think this was the book I read that in.

It's a mini computer chip, similar to an arduino. Think of a computer's motherboard, except it has everything you need other than storage already built into it. (Processor, graphics, HDMI, RAM, Wifi on the newer models, ethernet, USBs, audio jack, etc.) All you have to do is plug in a microUSB for power, and a microSD for storage (it's "harddrive"). After that you can do whatever you want with it. It has pins that you can connect other things to it, you could write your own software do what a number of different things. They also make modules for it that can do pretty much anything, touchscreens, cameras, sensors, etc. Some Examples

Recently I built one as a media box to run Kodi (XBMC) and installed hyperion to create an ambilight for my TV. Similar to this

But as others have said, you could turn it into an emulator box or literally anything you would need a "computer" to run. This guy turned an old gameboy into an emulator

It helps with the physics processing and particle count. Maybe it's my Geforce GTX 480. :)

I can get blank blu-ray disks off Amazon for a dollar per disc. They're more expensive than DVDs(10 to 20 cents per disc), but still pretty cheap when they're being sold for $60.

Well, in all fairness, I got a wireless adapter for my 360 controller from Amazon for $6 as I recall. Had to manually install the drivers which took 2 minutes but it sure as heck beats buying the "Xbox Branded Adapter" to work with PC.

Here's a link, currently $12:

When I did software consulting, I got two Asus USB portable monitors. They're a godsend for travel.

You'd need more than that.

You may have settled your output but without any input, what is gonna come out of your body?

Therefore, I recommend this & this.

After further review of the pricing on Amazon.com, it looks like the prices breakdown as follows for Darksiders Genesis:

  • Standard (PC) = $29.99
  • Standard (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch) = $39.99
  • Collector's Edition (PC) = $109.99
  • Collector's Edition (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch) = $119.99
  • Nephilim Edition (PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch) = $379.99

It looks like you save $10 if you buy the Standard or Collector's Edition for PC, but you don't get the discount on the Nephilim Edition. The game by itself is only $30 or $40, so you are paying either $80 (all versions) or $340 (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch) or $350 (PC) for the extra stuff depending on which version you choose.

Many of the libraries being used on the XBox One are equivalent on Windows 8. It was a big marketing point for Microsoft for developers to make games for the system in the first place. You could possibly make an argument for the graphics drivers being more optimised and stable on the XBox One than on a PC, but in the end the XBox is just running a different flavour of Windows 8. With the multi-tasking and multimedia capabilities of the XBox One, plus the ability to run "arbitrary" applications, the operating system is no more designed exclusively for gaming than Windows 8.

The processors are of identical architecture, design and power of desktop processors, as are the graphics cards (the XBox One has the numbers-for-numbers equivalent of an underclocked Radeon R7 260 which can be had for as little as $105 new). Finally, the XBox One has only 5GB of RAM available to access by game developers, with 3GB reserved for the operating system, where Windows 8 can use as little as 250mb of RAM for the operating system.

But I'll agree with you that it's not going to be "way better". It might be comparable, or if you're lucky you might be able to just edge out the consoles with a similarly-priced PC. Compared to the XBox 360 and Playstation 3, though, which ran circles around even high-end PCs until about a year later, this generation is incredibly disappointing.

So, that list is worth losing $30 for a trade in? Or lose $60 for a PC game you can't return.

I thought consumerism was about trying to save money, not just shovel it into the corporate machine. But hey, look, here's a very nice shovel for $30.

No worries, good luck with it!

Neglected to mention that if you're not looking to upgrade other hardware and want to plug-and-play with your current setup you might need an adaptor to use a SATA HDD with your motherboard if it only supports IDE (just look for one or the other of those two connectors in the image). I'd still recommend buying SATA either way and getting the adaptor because IDE is ancient tech; handy to have an adaptor around for data recovery too and you can get them for less than a couple of quid.

It seems to take place decades after XCOM1 (maybe commander was cryogen, "now that we have our best weapon", could be the command center or the commannder himself).

Which could mean that the forces seen in XCOM1 could be a scout force? And that invasion occurs following the events of XCOM1.

They're actually releasing a book that might explain some of the missing time: http://www.amazon.ca/XCOM-2-Resurrection-Greg-Keyes/dp/1608877124

Also on sale on Amazon (you can get a better price if you're in Europe and use Hola).

I KNOW, just like how movie-esque Sonic Adventure was!
