Never ever ever ever use a furminator on a husky.

Basically it's a razor that strips the guard hairs and they may never grow back. Just like one must never shave a husky unless extreme situation, cutting their guard coat can cause long term damage to the hair folicals.

I use 4 different brushes (1 is 2in1 so 3 technically) in this order

HOP Home of Paws Metal Dog Comb for Grooming Long Hair Cats & Dogs - Pet Steel Deshedding Rake Pin Brush Dog Rake, Lotus Wood https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QNJKGNJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_RIRwDbK2PY2RG

(mine is not a Wahl but it's like this. The shedding blade I only use when they are blowing their coat)
Wahl 2-in-1 Combination Double Row Pet Rake with hair shedding Blade for dog or cat fur by The Brand Used By Professionals. #858424 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00292BRCC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JERwDb4ZERTK7

Millers Forge Universal Curved Slicker Brush Large for Dog Professional Grooming https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073YRVG4V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WKRwDbYF7ZDEV

The long Rake pin brush gets the under coat really well first, then the shorter double Rake and then the slicker. Its a process but it's worth it!

This works great too...curry comb. I use this outside..the fluff blowing around looks like snow lol

I use a Hoover WindTunnel Air which does a really good job of sucking up all the dog fur from my carpets. Only complaint is that I typically have to empty the canister multiple times as it fills up quickly (my husky/shar-pei/mutt sheds a lot of fur). Hoover also makes pet attachments that fit that vacuum, but they don't come with it. I find that the [Cyclonic Pet Upholstery Tool](http://www.amazon.com /Hoover-UH70085-Windtunnel-Cyclonic-Upholstery/dp/B00F9GPQ2M/ref=sr_1_1?s=vacuums&ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=1-1&keywords=Hoover+windtunnel+pet+attachments) does a great job of removing fur from upholstered furniture, if you use it properly (run it side to side, so the rubber blades are making a squeegee kind of motion).

Best case scenario: you have mostly hardwood or tile floors, and can use a dust mop like this to easily take care of those surfaces.

Whether you have hard floors or not, just be sure you have a really good, bagless vacuum - the kind with a container you can just pop off and empty easily. I had a "heavy duty" Dirt Devil that was useless. Not I have a medium sized Black & Decker that just rocks.

It also helps to keep them brushed regularly, and when the weather permits I try to do that outside in the yard.

I have a 10 month old female Husky, and she loves to destroy everything. That was until I bought this:

https://www.amazon.ca/Kong-Knots-Squeaker-Medium-Colors/dp/B00B4UR08K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1540559637&sr=8-1&keywords=kong+bear&dpID=51-oSV3miSL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

I bought her the large one and she loves to play with it. I've had it for almost two months now and it's the first thing she hasn't ripped apart in 30 seconds. I purchased 5 more of them, in case they get too ratty and stinky.
My Husky also likes the Kong treat thing...The one that looks like a buttplug. I got the extra hard rubber one, and the large, and she plays with it a lot. I put in a few treats, and make sure there is one too large to just fall out. This keeps her preoccupied for a while.
I've hear nylabones are great, but I haven't had any success with them.

He might just learn the general limits to the tie out and not push it, but he also might just never get it. The only things I can think of to minimize injury are:

A) making sure his harness has the greatest surface are possible on the chest area

B) buying something like a "jerk-ease" to absorb shock (if you can be confident he will not be able to break it)

C) don't give him a reason to want to run out of leash range. Even though my dog knows the cable limit his instinct to chase things takes priority, it's unfortunate but better than him hurting his back.

Some tips from the owner of a very floofy husky/malamute: They don't like warm cozy beds because they are too warm.

Get your dog one of these cooling mats:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B003KK60R4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You fill them up with water and they are always cool to the touch, even on hot days. My dog loves it. Of course, he still only sometimes sleeps on it!

What do you guys feed your puppies? I'm looking at this one, but this one looks good too. Neither of them have fish, how important is that? I'm trying to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can.

I didn't go to a lot of the training classes, it was my wife's "job". They showed you the command and how to get the dog to do it, and then it was expected for you to work on it at home before the next class to make sure they got it. We did 1 - 2 "classes" they are 4-6 week long, and we got them both on sale. Normally they are $120, and I think we paid around $80 for each class.

Cow ears this isn't where we buy them, but so you can see what it is. Fish Skins this also isn't where we buy them, but this is what they are. Bones again not where we buy them, but these are what we usually get bone-wise. They are treats that we give her, she really likes the fish skins and cow ears.

Ok I found it. I didn't see it on petsmart's website but they had it in my store.

I paid $44 with tax at petsmart. It's $25 on amazon. We got a large.

Calm Paws Protective Collar - It comes with this little insert that smells funny and supposedly soothes the dog with it's smell.

They also sell it on chewy but I've never used that site before.

https://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Alpha-100-Dog-Bundle/dp/B00L3EQ7XQ

$799 and includes the handheld Garmin gps unit and the tt15 dog collar. This thing is fully customizable, and takes some getting used to... But it is amazing.
