By the way: I just ordered the LG V10 from Amazon.de and it is going to arrive on Saturday, 9th January. I've always liked Diztronic cases. They are matte finish which looks/feels nice, they are fairly thin TPU but always protected my phones from drops. I've had one on my last two phones (Galaxy Nexus and LG G2). I have a Ringke Fusion because I didn't want to go caseless but Diztronic has V10 cases now so I may pick one up soon.

I found them after shifting through a ton of cables on amazon that gave me a slow charge. They charge faster than the OEM cable and work 100% without fail. I've measured the charging rate using the Galaxy Charger Current app on my old Note 2 (which doesn't even have quick charge 2.0!) and it blows all the other cables out of the water (1600-1800 mA vs 500-1000 mA on most cables). The only downside is that they are charge-only so you won't be able to transfer data with them.

This one works great, is nice and small. I finally lost the charger that came in the bud with the phone, but this one is actually better.

You're lucky. I earlier I pulled my phone out of my pocket while getting some lunch and a random crack showed up without me even dropping it... Later I broke the lcd itself when I fell while biking but I'm not going to blame the device for that. Got an insurance replacement now.

I would suggest a tempered glass protector (I use the one from Gadget Guard) and just a thin case like the spigen ultra hybrid. Keeps the phone thin and protected without altering the beauty of it.

How? I tried this with my OTG cable and it didn't work, even for just a flash drive. As far as I know my next step is to buy a powered OTG thing like this. But this clearly isn't that. Is it a specific model of cable? Is it a certain version of the v10? Give me the details please.

I've had Spigen products in the past and they hold up really well for me. Considering trying the Obliq case and comparing because it's also cheap, but from using these products for over a month I'm satisfied

it is not a metal backing like it says. tpu is backed with a hard plastic shell.
IMO gives a cheap look to a premium device. Protection seems solid enough, hole cuts are precise except had a hard time getting earphones in the snug hole. Protects the camera well. it leaves a small exposed area of the stainless steel side rail so that the fingerprint scanner works every time if you hold the phone so that your hand touches the exposed rail at the same time you scan. You will need a tempered glass screen protector as no screen protection is offered except for a cheap plastic stick on protector that comes in the packaging. Adds some thickness and width that I'm not real happy with as well.

I got a tempered glass one from amazon. It's alright. I would prefer a better one though. This one already has a chip in it from a previous drop before this one.

I got this skin off Amazon that is covering the top and bottom bezel area you mention.
I only kept the top & bottom bezel skin, the camera ring skin, and volume rocker skin pieces. Paired it some tempered glass and a slim case. Looks and feels almost naked.

Apparently the Urban Armor Gear case works well with the scanner.

Also i noticed it seems to work on certain cases if you put the very tip of your finger On the scanner .

Neat app recommendation! I finally find out what my USB 3.0 hub is pushing out. While I was using it, I think I was actually losing battery life while plugged in and using the device.

One question I do have, does using a USB extension cable affect the efficiency of the charger? I have no clue if all USB cables are created equally and for all purposes, I would think so, but I'm pretty dumb.

and this particular charger does not work with my LG V10. I have a Yootech replacement NFC/Qi charging sticker on the OEM back cover and it does not work with this particular charger (case, no case, nothing). This particular charger does work with m Nexus 7 tablet and an old S3 that has a charging sticker attached as well (even works through a UAG case attached). So I don't understand while this particular charger does not work with the V10.

What does work with my V10 is the Newisdom 3-coil folding charger as well as a holster/Qi charger that I have in the car. So I don't know what's causing for this particular charger to not work with the V10.

I bought mine from Amazon. They sell the battery and charger in a bundle, a little pricey but worth it.

I bought the Spigen Glas.tR SLIM (full coverage), however, I cannot fully recommend it. The edges of the protector didn't fully seat on the glass, even though I applied it perfectly. It looks like a tiny line of micro-bubbles all around the perimeter of the protector. I've been using tempered glass protectors for years and the Spigen is the first to do that. It's not terribly noticeable, but I'm afraid it won't last long once dust and dirt is able to get in. Of course, for under 8 bucks it'll do the trick.

This one has full coverage and is also under 8 bucks.

*I should add that the full coverage protector doesn't seem to have any negative effect on the quality of photos taken with the front cameras.
