ever time you defecate wipe in the opposite direction instead of up. take a clean wet cloth and clean your bum each time. try https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Bond-Body-Powder-Medicated/dp/B00125JFM6 every other day.

consider seeing a dermatologist. they've seen everything so don't be shy.

There are special silicone bandages that supposedly help prevent scar formations. https://www.amazon.com/ScarAway-Professional-Silicone-Treatment-Packaging/dp/B001AJ4L1E

I can see why you're concerned, with the previous injury and the shaking/numbness. If you're worried about carpel tunnel, in the meantime you can try wearing one of these when you type and at night. Make sure you get a splint (example, not a recommendation), and not just a wrap. It's more fun if you make up a good story to go with it though ("I busted mah wrist hitting this jerk in the face!").

I'm having a hard time understanding what I'm looking at in the picture, but I can almost guarantee based on the location and itching this is a fungal infection. You could try some antifungal cream like this one and see of that cures it http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0001Z995G?vs=1

No need to wash it with hydrogen peroxide twice a day. If you really feel the need to clean it all that often you can use sterile saline or just soap and water honestly. The antibacterial ointment is okay.

If it isn't open or draining any fluid you don't really have to put a bandage on it, unless the rubbing of your pants opens it up, or it is painful without a dressing.

If you still feel the need to keep it bandaged, I suggest a 4x4 gauze (or two depending on the size) wrapped with something like kerlix around your thigh to keep it in place. Don't use an ace bandage or those stretchy wrap bandages because they will tighten throughout the day and can cut off circulation.

you could also keep the gauze in place with a piece of stockingette. Just cut some and it is like a little sleeve you can slip around your thigh over the gauze pads.

So many options! You should be able to pick this stuff up at any pharmacy, walmart, etc.

Fleas prefer to live on animals, and will always seek out animal hosts first. You need to treat your animals with a flea and tick preventative to really be effective. I recommend Advantage for cats and Frontline for dogs. The treated dogs and cats then act as living poison traps, the fleas bite them and die instantly >:)

Two words of caution though: One, you have to make sure you get it on your pets skin! If you just get it on their fur, its not going to be as effective. Second, DO NOT mix up the cat treatments and dog treatments. Dog flea treat treatment will KILL a cat. So always always always make sure you're using the stuff for cats.

If you can't use flea treatments for whatever reason, there is a redneck way to combat fleas (speaking from experience!), but it's labor intensive and possibly not the healthiest: Raid flea house spray, and Dawn dish soap.

Dawn dish soap kills fleas instantly. Washing your pets once a week with Dawn (it's the same stuff they wash wild birds in who've been coated in oil spill runoff and is completely safe), will kill the fleas on them. You can use your pets as traps for fleas, and then wash them once a week to kill hundreds of fleas at once. Make sure to watch your pets skin condition closely. If they start having dry skin issues, cut the Dawn baths down to every other week. Dawn is safe, but harsh on skin. Some pets are fine with it, others get dry skin, so you have to be careful.

Spraying the floor of every room in your house with Raid Flea Spray can also be very effective. My relative's house was so badly infested, it was the only thing that worked at that point. I can't speak to how safe it is for pets, but I mean the cats in the house we used it in survived, soooo.....? For the pet's sake, we just treated one room every day. That way, the pets always had a dry room they could go in to get away from the fresh stuff.

If you can't used the Raid, diatomaceous earth, daily vacuuming, and water traps can also help a lot against fleas. Here's an article on the those.

I don't know if this is a real thing, but it accidentally worked for me - I started taking Vitamin E because I read it helped with acne. While it did nothing for my acne, my stomach issues are virtually gone.

I've had IBS since I was a teenager, and managed it mostly with diet but if I ate one wrong thing or got stressed or nervous I would get diarrhea all the time. I can count the number of times I've had diarrhea on one hand in the last few months. It's been great.

I've also read that peppermint oil capsules work well, but I've never tried them so I can't personally vouch for them.

Yeah, I think something like this works better splint

u/kidNurse · 1 pointr/medical

You don't think the skin integrity will be compromised by keeping a wet splint on the skin? and your right about the tape. I was thinking about this stuff http://www.amazon.com/Pac-Kit-5-911-Self-Adhering-Cohesive-Length/dp/B00CEK3GFA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405084176&sr=8-3&keywords=wrap+wound
