This is the one I've used for years.

I had the MFLB but have now upgraded to the goboof Alfa.

This grinder with turn the weed into dust if you want (how I grind it) in about 6 seconds. It vapes absolutely PERFECTLY.

Also, the clear dome at the top has a very awesome feature - it collects all the Kief from the bud so after a few goes you have a few teaspoons full of lovely crystals that you can make moonrocks from or something.

I've never used a better grinder. I grind about 7 grams at a time and keep it in a sealed metal screw cap tin, similar to what hair Pomade comes in. It lasts as long as it's in there perfectly. Doesn't dry out or anything.

Do not buy it from a head shop if you can avoid it. Expect to pay upwards of $150, plus you might end up getting an older model without the ball and latch like I did.

Amazon has the cheapest rate, but if you can't buy from them, puffitup has the best deals in my opinion.

I'd consider getting an extra glass stem. I'm very careful with mine and it has already cracked. This may have been a result of pushing it too hard into my stem while it was orange with resin, and I didn't notice it crack. I never saw the cracks until I saw it. cleaned it.

Go on youtube and look up how to clean the launch box. There's one guy on there who has a brooklyn accent who does a good job of explaining. Cleaning can make a huge difference in taste, the smell of the box, and how well it heats the plant material. I recommend cleaning the box once a month.

Expect to buy new batteries every three months if you use it daily. Batteries are cheapest online. Energizer batteries have an annoying glue that is hard to strip. No name brand batteries (like the InfiniCell ones I bought) tend not to work very well.

When it comes to grinding, the finer the better. Of my regular 3 piece grinder used upside down, a plastic two piece grinder, a mini two piece metal grinder, and my grinder card, the most effective thing was the grinder card. It helps if you compress the nugs a bit so that you can use them easier with the card.

Write down your serial number and keep it in a safe place. If you ever lose your launch box, you will want this number to get a new box at a discounted rate, or send in your box if you damage it to the point you can't read the serial number.

I find the launch box is about 3-4 times more efficient than smoking. You will save yourself a lot of money very quickly. However, if you use it every day your tolerance will skyrocket. Beware of this.

I went to Michael's for the sole purpose of finding stuff for my gear and my herb. I bought a lot of small bottles, and a tiny little tin "safe" posing as a coin bank, but these are my favorite.

4 bottles for a couple of bucks, the tops have a pour or shaker option like what you'd see for salt/pepper shakers and best of all, they fit just inside the MFLB so you don't have any spillage!

I'm currently saving various "roast levels" of AVB in them, but I'm saving one just for kief. :-D

i cannot say with 100% certainty, but i dug a little deeper, and he has a website found by googling thorzthunder (no zeros), that he sells sharpstone grinders on, and the pix used check out compared to sharpstone's Fake FAQ. the grinders actually link to an amazon store. i have no idea if thor is actually Evolve Industries, or if he just buys from them, but searching for EI does not return this grinder, yet thor's link shows them still in stock. he also has FB and twitter links, somewhere, but i forgot to get those links.

so overall, all his sites (or linked to sites anyways), look very clean and professional, with what look to be quality, and legit items for sale.

the only thing i kinda go "huh?" about is his feedback on ebay. his rating is very good ... but only 1 review? i haven't used ebay in forevers, so mayhap they've changed things like that ... i dunno.

i feel like he's probably OK. but the best thing to do always on ebay is to message the seller. ask him some questions and see how long it takes for him to answer, and how he answers. go ahead and link him to this post ... see what he has to say about that!! ~¦^)

so to sum it all up ... i can't absolutely say yes, but i feel pretty good about it.

yea, it was rated as being a 12v battery but it couldn't give out the proper Amperage or something. I ended going for this laptop portable battery while waiting for the mini lipo battery that's about the size of the launch box with a DC connector integrated I order from china a couple weeks ago, should be here around mid January I guess. The laptop battery work great but it's just so cumbersome due to its size! I'm likely going to end up returning it but it is pretty awesome, looks to be the equivalent of around 200 AA batteries. I'm at a week of heavy use and i probably used up around 20% of the battery. So that means this battery should give me about a month of daily (10-20 sessions a day) usage. If it weren't for the size, it truly would have been the perfect one. Do let me know how you're portable PA turns out!

100%. After owning MFLBs for years.. what I found to work the best is to get a large grinder and do the initial grind with it. You can fill the whole thing up as much as you want and leave it there. Eventually the first-ground herbs goes through the Finishing Grinder per new trench. The reason why I do this is because it allows me to pre-grind a lot because the Finishing Grinder can only take small amounts at a time.. but also this helps dry the herbs before you put it through the Finishing Grinder. Both the Box and the FG do better with dry herbs. I have a Space Case Titanium and the Golden Gate Grinder seems to do my "pre Finishing Grind" much more efficiently with a lot more space to store the herbs for drying purposes. The Space Case definitely does a better job at going for a finer grind but it doesn't match the FG on its own.

I don't have that exact model, but I have one similar to it. Most if not all of them have switches for each fan to change from intake to exhaust. They fit in your window pretty snuggly and can clear a room of smoke pretty quickly. I usually blow hits directly into it (both from the MFLB and a bowl) and have never had any problems with smell. Of course, it will smell on the other side of the window but it seems to dissipate quicker than just simply blowing it out of the window.

Plus you can use it for its intended purpose during the late spring/early summer when it's too cold at night to use the A/C but warm enough during the day where you need to do more than just open a window to keep a room cool.

I have a process with an Aeropress that's pretty cool. If you don't have one and love good coffee I would check it out, even if you won't make oil with it!

Make sure the abv is ground up fine. Then put as much as you have/can fit in the Aeropress (use the inverted method - youtube it). Cover with just enough iso so the iso level is right above the ground abv. Stir virgorously for 30s with the attachment that comes with the aeropress. Let it sit for ~15s, then press onto a plate/pyrex/whatever you're going to scrape off of. Let the iso evaporate and scrape with a razor!

You can always get one of each. If you have any glass pieces, you might like having both options. Use the big 4-pc grinder for your glass pieces, as it can grind more at once, store more at once, and collect kief (which can then be saved, stocked up, and sprinkled on bowls for special occasions). Use the nanogrinder for the box, as it's specifically made to be the ideal MFLB grinder. You can probably get both for ~$20 total (plus shipping/tax). The nanogrinder is $9.95 in Magic-Flight's store, and there are always decent grinders on sale at Amazon for around $10: [1] [2] [3]

Be aware that there's a definite difference between these "mid-level" options, vs. something like a Space Case, Mendo Mulcher, or Santa Cruz Shredder -- which have also been mentioned in this thread. Those will run you more like $50-$80, but if you have that kind of money lying around, it might be worth it. As I said, I definitely wouldn't have paid the $49.99 MSRP for my grinder (which is the 2nd one I linked to above) but for less than $20 it's a great value.

I'm pretty new to my MFLB, but I find that 1 battery for two people is enough (a battery lasts ~1.5 to 2 trenches). I don't have the adapter, but I've heard that it's really good if you're mostly smoking inside. Personally, I value the flexibility of batteries over the reliability of adapters, so I ordered extra batteries and a bigger charging station.

You can get something like these and pack the ABV in them as well. They look like just some shit you'd get from a health food store and as long as you have food/drink in your stomach when you take 'em, you won't have any discomfort. Two or three will treat you like a nice sized brownie would.

I just started playing with AVB tabs and mine have all weighed between .2 and .3, using these caps off amazon. I take 3 and I creep up to an [8] for a good stretch. Of course body weight and tolerance has to be factored in, and thankfully I'm a scrawny little shit.

I got a two piece space case, does the trick just fine. Don't listen to everyone telling you that you need to turn your herb to complete dust to vape it properly. A space case will do the job.

I recently got these which are 2800mAh with a charger and cases for 8. Someone on here posted them a little bit back. The plastic wrapping also isnt glued to the battery so you just peel it off and you're good to go, no cleaning or anything else.
