May I suggest the Gerber Dime? I have both this one and the Squirt PS4, and I keep coming back to the Dime. The clamshell opener, tweezers and superior bottle opener have won me over.

Consider the Leatherman Crater there are a few styles that include a flat head and Phillips head, along with a easy to use retractable bottle opener. I love this knife.

It’s out of stock here, but this will give you and idea of what it is. I have three of them. They work pretty well.

I know it’s not a k4 but I sorta recommend this
Made in China so I reluctantly purchased it on eBay for about $20

Knife was so-so but I really liked the scissor. They are larger scissors than on the surge.

It took a long time, but I finally had to replace my original sheath last year. I picked up this Gerber Sheath for my old 600 from Amazon for $10 and like it well enough. No complaints, does it's job and has stood up well for the last year.

I figured I'd try it out for $10 and if I didn't like it I wasn't out much. The back has molle straps and I was going to try to put it on, inline with my belt, but my belt is too wide to fit that way so I have kept it vertical with their band through the molle and my belt.

Cybertool is really close. But the big socket at the end of the driver is gonna be a big problem for me in a lot of situations. I was hoping for something that length but just sort of a long skinny metal, nonchangable precision phillips head screwdriver. Maybe I can get this one and do some modifications. I have access to a forge and stuff a couple months out of the year.

Edit: Well, how big is that socket? Does it look bigger in the picture? How thick is it? Could it be shaved down at all with one of those grind belt sand paper things or could it not be thinner? I do use those other heads too, just not as much, so that would actually be really nice.

Edit: https://www.amazon.com/LighterBro-Stainless-Steel-Lighter-Sleeve/dp/B01789PP3M The tiny ass screwdriver on this is what I had in mind.

Edit: Well, I do smoke a lot of dope. Maybe I can just get a lighterbro and a victorinox...

Minimal is right. Wow.

I tried these at one point and decided it was a bit "wee" for my use (still on my keyring), but interesting take.

I've been using this since October. So far I'm really liking it. It MIGHT be in need of a little tightening, but that should be easy enough with a pair of channel locks.

Not really a multi tool, but hands down the tool for cutting anything is the Knipex CoBolt cutters. Cut any wire like it is nothing, including large gauge high tensile strength wire that is harder than any chain link. And only 8 inches long.

$80? The tools look pretty beat up. For $18 more you could get a new Swisstool on Amazon. Also, the X variant is $115.

Ironworker welder here The Crunch is my favorite. It’s a secret weapon when high up and u need a strong clamp. It holds 25 pounds of metal tightly. It’s a little expensive for my job, I’ve lost 2. I use the Irwin Vice Grip with knife now at work. My Crunch is in semi retirement.

> Everyone should own a Micra.

You misspelled CrossCut. Unless you're nostalgic for 1983, it's really just better in every way.

I use the leatherman OHT everyday and I work in IT and low voltage cabling. I love it.

i carry a wave clipped to the side pocket of my dress slacks, i barely notice it anymore. get this as a stocking stuffer https://www.amazon.com/Leatherman-934850-Quick-Release-Pocket-Lanyard/dp/B0002H49DA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510725862&sr=8-1&keywords=leatherman+wave+clip

really changed how i carry mine for the better.

As a more out there idea I found these two . . . scissors? not really sure how to classify them.

They should work but I would still have the issue of the exposed head, just not as bad as with the pliers type handles on the snips.

Thoughts?
