It's on Amazon for $35, and since it's a Steamworks game you'll get a Steam code.

I use a Blue Snowball that I got on sale for $50, along with a cheap pop filter. I also have a pair of Astro A40s I use in-game, and sometimes I'll use that to record commentary if I'm away from home and don't have my Blue Snowball with me.
Since you can buy non-modded (i.e. 'licensed') turbo controllers commercially, they're not unauthorized.
ex: here, here, here
They make them, this is what I've seen used I think:

I can't speak for reliability though.
46 inch Panasonic Plasma
Bought it over 2 years ago from Walmart, $80 cheaper than the price on Amazon. Don't really know why they were letting them go so cheap, I couldn't be happier with it.
This + These
Only downside to this setup is that you don't get independent control over ingame chat and game volume unless you buy another $40 adapter. This isn't a huge deal. What you need to do in the case of MW3 is turn down game volume in options low enough that you can hear in game chat, and then turn up the overall volume with the knob on the DSS. Black ops was much better as it allowed voice chat+game volume adjustment in their options menu which for some reason MW3 decided not to implement.
Or if you're lazy, just get these. http://www.amazon.com/Surround-Xbox-360-Playstation-3-PC/dp/B002ZS6Y64/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323196017&sr=1-1
This and this lanyard. Also found a sticker.
But 50 bucks for a lanyard? Hell NO.
You could probably get them all custom made. For cheaper too!
