>I could write a book on acne, i had it really bad when i was a teenager. I ended up going to dermatology in the Royal, and got prescribed Roaccutane. It worked for me but has some very scary side effects. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/beauty-hair/beauty-trends/news/a43498/roaccutane-side-effects-pros-cons/

That's what I'm looking for and the doctor said the same thing whenever she referred me to the dermatologist. I'm well aware of the side affects but from what I read the most common side affects is dry skin especially your lips. And other side affects are rarer.

>What age are you? It could just pass. You can go to your GP and they can prescribe you treatment. There is a good guide here:

I'm 21, physically fit and no other health problems and not overweight if that matters.

>You had a look at some of the stuff you can buy yourself?

I had a look at tons of different stuff and some do help my face because that isn't severe acne but my back is much worse and it doesn't help that at all.

>Be aware private medicine can be extremely expensive, so you might want to try the NHS route.

Yeah I'm aware of that, but I'm just considering all options I don't mind paying money if it gets it gone.

>Also as bonkers as it sounds i would try probiotics:
>https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ProVen-Probiotics-Adult-Probiotic-Billion/dp/B00CBUF45I/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1522230534&sr=8-1&keywords=probiotics+25+billion

>There is some evidence it can help:

I will have a look at that, I have never heard of it before so I will need to do some research. Thanks for the great response.

No problem. I'm relatively new to brewing myself, the kit gave a beer which is decent enough, the last kit I brewed was a single hop IPA with a Mangrove Jack's brew kit. I've bought worse beers in a pub so I was pretty happy with the result. I've now moved onto extract brewing which is basically a kit but with more DIY. Next step is all grain brew.

If it's the theory and the process you want to learn there is no better starting place than "How to Brew" by John Palmer. Here's a wee link - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1938469356/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ljhoDbJMM5HP0 or there is a website with the whole book on there -
http://www.howtobrew.com/

Everything you need to know is in that book from sterilisation (the most important part) right through to your first full grain brew

Hope this helps

Au contraire! The post-war years were the UK's finest. I'd recommend this book if you'd like to learn more about it.

With regard to your comments on the American middle class: your perceived class structure differs markedly from a European construction. Whilst economically, both are predicated on dynamically equable systems, in reality the social mores of each country vary widely.

I don't think we're as similar as you think.

Decent camera, just a bit old at this point (for a digital camera)

Repair centres list is here:

http://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/services_locator/

I think the nearest one is Dublin though.

Also, get quotes first if possible. You may wind up better off getting a new camera body if the cost winds up expensive.

Direct replacement for the 500d is the 700d:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-EOS-700D-Digital-Camera/dp/B00BYOY9AS/ref=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1418982876&sr=1-2

Which you can get second hand body only for £300ish.

Hopefully it's just a faulty button or something though.

If you want a good one to add to that, I'd recommend 'northern Protestants- an unsettled people'

Really interesting book.

I took an elective in it in first year at uni (didn't have much of a choice). Anyway, the 'definitive' book about the whole thing is Celtic Mythology by P. Mac Cana if you want to know more. It's from the 70s but has widely survived the test of time.

My favourite is the Dagda. Coolest Demi-God around. The way he's described puts me in mind of Frank Reynolds in his sleepwear - he walks around in a tunic too small to cover his arse, bangs a load of hoors, and drinks/eats copious amounts of food and booze. My kinda guy!

Apparently Mark Carruthers' book is good for this, as is Making Sense of The Troubles. I hasten to add I am yet to get around to reading either of them, but have heard good things about both from academic types, contemporary journalists of the time, etc.

What about bluetooth earphones like these

I have a pair similar and they're great, don't have to worry about messing up my phones headphone jack, or cable getting caught much, and they will ship unlike the earbuds.

My mum got if for me in Cex in Belfast for £10, was the only one there apparently. I have seen some popular BBC docs in HMV in Belfast before as well, so maybe there.

Or you could get it off amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Story-Ireland-Fergal-Keane/dp/B004FV4R7M

I watched the Channel 4 news and they interviewed this Greek-British donor to UKIP. The guy held some brain-melting opinions, one of which was that women wear trousers to look less sexy, he had even written a book on the subject, entitled Women in Trousers: a rear view.

That looks awesome. Here's a link to the book discussed in the article.

This one here I got is pretty sound. You can grab a pack of four for near £16 which isn't bad at all.

u/leftofcentre · 3 pointsr/northernireland

You should read this book. It's a great no bullshit guide to what works from everyone's favourite creepy mind bender.

Happy: Why More or Less Everything is Absolutely Fine https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0552172359/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Es1TAbWR8S62N

If your in a rush the book largely looks into stocic philosophy https://medium.com/the-mission/my-incredibly-simple-guide-to-stoicism-learn-wisdom-you-can-practically-use-67a0195298ee

I was actually gonna just send the copy of the book OP's way. If I don't hear back I'm happy to send it your way instead. This is the one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cognitive-Behavioural-Therapy-Dummies-Branch/dp/0470665416
