You could always get something like this and download any show you want from the big spreadsheet. I know that particular one looks...questionable...but I got something just like it off Amazon a few years back and it works great.

BTW, it made my day to see the phrase "Phish tapes" again! Ahh, the good old days.

Bikes at a festival are a game changer! Getting out of the concert field and back to the site quick was the best. Plus you get a nice breeze just cruising around. An even bigger game changer are battery powered job site fans. Bought one for 2016 LOCKN’ and won’t go camping without it now. I was able to rest in my tent during the day which would be impossible otherwise.

Protect your ears kids! You want to be enjoying these shows for life!

How To Flatten

First thing to do is get them out of their tubes. Inks can get old and will want to hold their shape. When you go to unroll the print, the ink may not want to unroll (this is worst case scenario, and takes a lot of time to happen). Lay them out, and try to get them to unroll a little on their own over them. Don't force them right away. Then you can use poster weights, or anything that won't damage the paper/ink, on the corners to flatten them further. You can put multiple posters on top of each other when doing this, but it is a good idea to put craft/tissue paper between them. Keep in mind that this process can take a couple weeks to months depending how how much they are rolled, and how long they have been rolled for. Don't try to roll them the other direction to quickly flatten them, you can run into all kinds of problems.

How To Store

I would start buy purchasing a portfolio to hold your posters. I got this one because it is cheap, acid free, and has all the space I need at the moment. There are others that zip up, and others that have rings so you can purchase/install more sleeves later. Another option is a flatfile drawer cabinet. These can be expensive, heavy, and take up a lot of space though. Either way, make sure your prints are properly flattened before you try to store them.

Edit: Just saw your post in Phish Prints on Facebook lol

If you want to go the professional route I've had great experiences using Blick during one of their 50% off custom framing promotions (they do this a couple times every year, just be patient).

I actually have Blick doing some work for me at the moment, should be picking it up later this week - it was about $180 (at 50% off) to do a 14x28"-ish custom frame for the Red Sox Phish night pennant along with my stubs from the Fenway run. For a typical 18x24" you're looking at about $150-200 all in during one of these promotions depending on how fancy you want to get with the frame, matting and glass.

If you want to go the cheaper route and just grab an 18x24 frame toss the print in there and hang it up I have the following ones in my apartment, all for about $35. I am more than happy with the quality and aesthetic for the price:

Gold

Silver

Black

Well done!! If you like this sort of thing and you obviously do - then you should check out Norwegian Wood: Chopping Stacking and Drying Wood the Scandinavian Way. It's about the history and culture of firewood prep in Scandinavia. Pretty interesting read if you are into wood and wood piles!

Check youtube for some of the budget audiophile setup vids. You can hear rich, crisp tunes for $100.

Personally, I'd check out letgo, marketplace, craigslist for the best brand you can find in your budget - regardless of age. I'm satisfied with an old Denon/JBL setup that was about $60 total. Bluetooth to Phono or RCA adapters are cheap, and there are really decent phono pre-amps out there for under $35, if that's part of your agenda.

Subwoofers are amazing, even at low volume.

Hadn't seen the paperback cover design before - it's far better than the hardcover design for the same book.

I too was given this as a gift, but never really gave it a fair shot - maybe having already read The Phish Book by Richard Gehr and the band and also The Phishing Manual by Dean Budnick, what I saw retread a bunch of what I had already read before, and the writing didn't exactly impress. (I highly recommend the first book, by the way)

Maybe I should give it another shot to see what it says about 2.0 and the dawn of 3.0. The books I linked came out in '99 and '96, so there's a good bit of history not covered by those. But I think when I tried reading those in Puterbaugh's book I felt I already had an understanding of those events just because I was paying close attention to the band during those times.

Ahhh the good ole Berlin Turnpike. No shortage of seedy motels. Like, seriously seed. Like, human trafficking seedy. Not kidding. But it's really not too bad of an area, I'd just do a little research on the hotel before you book. I used to live right off the turnpike, and that Holiday Inn will be fine, it's the other random "motor lodge" type places you gotta look out for.

Took it a little different direction but turned out pretty cool I think: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D8KVMC6

Szabo is mindblowingly good. I first heard Mizrab on Impulsive Unmixed, a compilation original tracks that were of heavily sampled off of the Impulse label. Mingus, Chico Hamilton Dizz, and one of my favorites, Pharoah Sanders all have songs on here.

Here are the lights in case anyone is wondering. Installed in about 5 minutes. The app is hilariously bad in terms of, uh, Engrish, but seems functional enough for the price.

I kind of remember a conversation I had where I heard Phish gets at most 10% of the tickets for PTBM, etc. In the book Ticketmasters this is further explained. I do believe that the best any band was able to get in terms of a fan club deal was the Dead's deal with Ticketmaster that gave a 50/50 split. Don't quote me on that, though, read the book!
