Yup.

these are my favorite for hand held PO noodling since they keep the cable neat cooked up like that. Takes up less room than a straight 3’ cable would.

And these guys are great for a nice solid desktop setup.

Depending on how you record or mix the output, you may want to pickup a 3.5mm to 1/4” breakout cable to deal with any stereo/balancing issues you might encounter.

NP! You’ll want something like this to convert from RCA to 3.5

As far as recording, AudioShare seems to be the best. And it supports copy paste into into apps like GarageBand and Gadget

Duracell has a repuation for leaking and destroying devices:

I have an AmazonBasics electronics organizer that I keep in my bag, pocket operators fit perfectly in the mesh pocket side, folds in without issues, holds more stuff, and costs $12: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Universal-Travel-Electronics-Accessories/dp/B002VPE1QG

That said, I'v been in Morocco past few days and just too much hustle going on for me to bust it out and try to make a beat with something cool in the background. So traveling with it, easy, using it while traveling, still working on that part...

I bought this case on Amazon and it's great! I put my KO and Arcade in there and can probably still fit a third if I ever get another one. The foam has little removable cubes so you can make it fit anything/anyway you want.

I believe it's definitely possible if you include some external recording and post processing. As extremely limiting as it can be, Audacity is a free DAW that can do some of the extra work outside of the unit.

Even picking up a TRRS splitter (ala https://www.amazon.com/MillSO-Headset-Splitter-TRRS-Headphones/dp/B07569QKQQ/ for example) so you can use your phone to record, and then layer it back onto new audio generated by the PO-20 at a slightly different tempo/effect can help greatly expand the possibilities.

In terms of just within the PO-20 itself, I've not pushed it as far as I could myself, so I cannot say for certain if you can get there with just the PO, but I feel like you can get pretty far with the unit on it's own, and with some cheap/free addon's go even father.

What are you recording in? Some programs like Ableton and Adobe Audition will let you use more CPU to reduce the audio latency, but unless you have a good soundcard, there will still be enough latency to make performing and monitoring a challenge. Its a hardware issue so you're gonna have to spend a little change to fix it.

The easiest and cheapest way to take latency out of the equation is to just get a splitter and monitor with headphones.

Well I record my PO-20 using this interface and this wire. It's all worked perfectly well for me.

If you have an iPhone or other iOS device with lightning connector, I'd recommend the Line6 Sonic Port. I really like it because the app has some built-in effects and it allows recording the line-in audio straight to video.

It is confusing to figure out what works. I ended up getting a "Sony ICDUX560BLK Digital Voice Recorder 1" Black" that I can backup and restore from. Don't have it on me right now... But I believe I just had to set it to 44khz. Pretty sure you need something that can record 16 bit stereo at that frequency

I would (and still am) try to find a hard zip upcase made for digital cameras like this and not put it in your pocket lol https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0769D9VGY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_y8HSCbTT9N370
Or invest in some rechargeable batteries and not worry about buttons hitting

u/tehslony · 2 pointsr/pocketoperators

I use this little dongle if I want to record to my phone. Seems like it works out good.

3.5mm Headphone Adapter, MillSO CTIA Audio Splitter (2 TRS Female to 1 TRRS Male) Compatible for Xbox One, PS4, Smartphone, Laptop to a Double Plugs Gaming Headset Adapter - 30cm/12inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0788M8W77/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZZMEDb3F1J90D

u/madjo · 3 pointsr/pocketoperators

The macbook doesn't have a 3.5mm mic in port? I find that hard to believe. Nowadays it's a shared headphones and microphone port.

In order to use it as a port for recording audio on your laptop, you will need a 2 ringed 3.5mm jack plug (a so called trrs) like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-Silver-Plating-Compatible-iPhones-Tablets/dp/B0793JNYLL/

However that particular type of cable is untested by me. I have a 3.5mm to male RCA + female RCA to 3.5mm trrs jack plug set up. But that's because I already had those cables lieing around. But it should work the same.

Trrs stands for tip - ring - ring - sleeve, so while it's called a two ringed connector, it has three black rings.

Well obviously you need the proper cables or adapters to go from the PO's stereo 3.5mm/1/8" output to the guitar pedal's mono 6.35mm/1/4" input. I would personally use a 1/8" stereo to dual 1/4" Y-cable like this because I happen to have a bunch of them already. But there are any number of solutions.

As for switching on the pedal... it needs to be powered and connected. The "on" switch is the foot toggle on the front. RTFM?

u/Pocreation · 1 pointr/pocketoperators

I use these. They're cases for a regular HDD, but I have enough room to put a case, batteries, and cables!

Sometimes if I want to bring all 5, I bring an old camera bag with some basic dividers and it works just as well.
