This fan changed my life. Plus, it glows in rainbow.
For starter that depends on the leak. If you can service or change out the ring/washer this might not big a problem. Many times we can get lucky pulling the stuff apart and cleaning the surfaces and lubing the o-ring.
That's if you can separate the pieces being held together. It really just depends on how big of a can of worms this is.
Must be playing Hammer, paper, scissors.
8 metal straws for $8
Obviously, no restuarant will want to use them, but if you’re at home, they’re fine.
Both holes are used in industrial lockout devices to lockout the plug. Here are some on Amazon: One Two. The spec says that the holes are optional but if you do manufacture them then you must locate them as specified. Those plug lockouts I listed will not work right if the plug doesn't have holes in the prongs.
These are fairly common and cheap, not to mention pretty robust. It would be far more elegant than the plug solution. I swapped one out for my mom on her smoke exhaust in the kitchen, it died after 10 years of constant use and it died only because the internal contacts has been covered with grease/grime over the years. Tons of other variations exist too that are pretty common.
