I suggest buying online. The sets are better priced and more durable for your kid. I used to teach chess for k-12. 5 is a good age to start just having fun with chess. Don't push it too hard or he'll just end up disliking chess (I saw a lot of parents push too hard and their kids got burnt out by 9).
There is a good chess club here in SA but I think it meets a bit too late for your kid, plus it is a bunch of old men and college guys.

If you have a little cash, go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a couple rolls of this rug/carpet stuff. Looks kinda like what you might have by the pedals in your car, except black and rubber on bottom. Really cheap. I think in the flooring area, but forget where exactly we got them.

I'll note that it was $129.99 when I bought it and I got the hardwire kit for it. I wired it into my cigarette lighter in the front and ran the wire all the way around the car up to the mirror.

It works great, but it is now randomly turning itself off. I know it comes on when I start the car, but after about 5 minutes it shuts off. I have to reach forward and power it on manually, but then it's fine until I turn the car off again.

I am also having problems with it not overwriting itself properly. These things are supposed to record until the SD card is full, then go back to the earliest recording and record over it, five minute blocks at a time. But occasionally, when the SD card gets full, it beeps like crazy saying memory error. I have to remove it from the cradle, and re connect it. Mildly annoying.

I like that it has great image quality, and can save onto two SD cards at a time, up to 128GB each. Overall I don't hate it, but I wish I had sprung for something of much higher quality.

Have you bought a pre-amp. A lot of the old recievers had amps installed for turntables, but the new ones do not. If you can barley hear it, you should get one, it was the issue w/ mine, and now it works perfectly.

There are many to choose from and they are super easy to install and take down.

I ended up buying one of the models that Bird uses (M365 here) and have been in love with it. I use it as my main source of transportation now, and it gets me anywhere I need to go in the city.

I think with time the Public opinion on these will change as they're so much cheaper and energy efficient than cars for small trips.

Though they make one that has a rear view camera as well, and at this point I wish I had gotten that version to have front and rear facing cameras.

If you're on the fence there are cheap like 20 dollar cameras that I initially bought and used for a year to get used to having one.

As for installations, I went with Brothers off of Crossroad Rd, next to the Krav Maga school. They charged me $40 to install and took about an hour.

Take a look at nestcam if you have a power outlet at the location and wifi reach. It will be your cheapest option. Super easy to set up, just plug in and connect to wifi. Can store 10-30 days worth of video in the cloud, depending on your subscription, and has a portal you could give members access to. I use it at my work and it does the job. We have several set up.
