Funny enough, I was looking at doing the same thing with my car stereo a few months ago. I went with this JVC - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B1C88Y/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has the Bluetooth/USB/Headphone jack along with stuff like satellite radio and Pandora. I decided to go this route because of the lack of CD making it a better price.

This was the Pioneer that I was also look at - http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-DEH-X6500BT-Receiver-Bluetooth-MIXTRAX/dp/B0091UX3QI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1376702954&sr=1-1&keywords=pioneer+bluetooth

Both are rated pretty high.

As for installations, I went with Brothers off of Crossroad Rd, next to the Krav Maga school. They charged me $40 to install and took about an hour.

I'm trying to install this HU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B1C88Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll be using it for USB, AUX and Bluetooth so I don't need those stock features (though I don't have stock BT anyway) and from what I've read I won't lose any iMid features except for the radio functionality, which I have no problem doing with the new HU.

I'm just confused how the one harness (Metra 70-1729) is going to take care of the 4 or 5 connectors that connect to the stock radio. Unless I'm mistaken? I haven't been able to find any pictures anywhere.

I have the same deck. it's the shit I love it. it controls anything I play on my iphone. pandora, spotify, grooveshark, ipod.

You can still get them on amazon prime for ~$88

My only complaint is that it has some serious glare issues with the glossy front in the sun.

Heh. I don't even have a CD player in my car anymore. I got one of these a while ago.

For $10-20 more you could just install a cheap Bluetooth enabled receiver.

I went for this little number back in 2012 and have not been disappointed since.

Although the one I bought was $97.79. No idea why there was a price hike.
