I have the original Wireless H, and I ran into the same issue. I can confirm these work in the Wireless H http://m.ebay.com/itm/232171760156?_mwBanner=1

However, they do not charge in the charger, so you would need a generic charger (I use this one and it works well and is quite cheap https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005REEWYY/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Hope this helps!

No worries! If you are plugging in that cable that came with the headset into your PC's speaker out you will only get audio out to the headset and no mic. You want to get a 3.5mm female to 2-port male splitter, one into your speaker out and other into your mic in on your PC onboard audio IO. Then you can utilize the mic on the headset as well with the connection. Sorry I assumed you knew about this required cable for that kind of setup :) https://www.amazon.com/Y-Splitter-Separate-Headphone-Earphone-Microphone/dp/B01LXT0YGT/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=3.5mm+splitter+female+to+2+male&qid=1557688359&s=gateway&sr=8-9

If in the future you are interested in more power / wider range of freq response i'd get a cheap external DAC for your PC. DAC will give you more power / isolate interference from the inside of your PC, but DAC is optional. This is one of the popular ones for a good price: https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Performance-Headphone-Integrated-Microphone/dp/B00EZT7RE4/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=external+dac&qid=1557687805&s=gateway&sr=8-6

So I use all 3 with the Pro Wireless as well, but FOR STRICTLY AUDIO, no chat.

USB > PC

Then Optical > Console

I use this to connect my xbox and ps4 to, then run the optical out to the base station. Hit 1 for xbox, 2 for ps4.

I get sound simultaneously through both (Can balance which is louder as well. I believe Voice is usb and Game is optical) Technically I get 3 sources of audio using BT to my phone. All works great.

i use my pc/laptop to chat via twitch/discord. i use a dac to run the switch audio to my arctis 7. this allows me to just dock the switch and play with wireless headphones. i can chat with friends and my gf while we play something on the switch. we'll be doing the same thing when diablo launches. this is the dac i got. very inexpensive. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016CU2PEU

I haven't been able to find it anywhere, but it sounds like you need something like this.

http://www.amazon.com/Iphone-Dual-Microphone-Adapter-Cable/dp/B007JFYFF0/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1426879514&sr=8-9&keywords=8mm+audio+and+mic+to+8mm

I would do some more research to see how dual 8mm interact with the PS4 before buying something that isn't the mixer however.

Funnily enough, I got the same brand and for the price it's fantastic. I just got a different size.

  • October 2017
  • $244? (Doubtful, Australian website)
  • SteelSeries QX2 linear mechanical switches
  • Prism RGB Support

EDIT: Even better pictures on China Amazon Link

According to this price, it would be around $150 USD (which was expected).

Honestly dude just buy one of these. It's an amplifier and a DAC. I tested it with my Arctis 7 before I got my DT-770 Pro 250+OHMs and it makes things much louder

FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WUkZCb5T5PC8

It's very small and light. Fits in the palm of your hand

Use a paper towel moistened with just plain water, and gently blot, and wipe away as much as you can.
Water is a great solvent.

Avoid using isopropyl alcohol, as it tends to dry out materials.

I use headphone covers to prevent your situation from happening in the first place:

I’m using the Apex 750TKL and bought myself this wrist rest off Amazon. It been working awesome and it comes in regular or tkl sizes. Grifiti Fat Wrist Rest

I can't check right now but I bet the earcups come right off. Most headsets have a similar way to replace them. Getting the size right is the tough part.

[Here are some thick pads from Brainwavz] (https://www.amazon.com/Brainwavz-Angled-Memory-Foam-Earpad/dp/B00ZY8PGJI/). Seems like that company has accurate measurements on their product descriptions. Maybe they make something that'll fit the 800s for a decent price.

Sure! It wasn't that expensive either :)

Does anyone know whether a modmic can be used with the gamedac as well? From looking at it, I can't tell if any of the inputs would be for a separate microphone but maybe a y-cable like this would do the trick?

Also, I can't speak Japanese but the guy in this video puts some kind of adapter setup together... maybe just add the y-cable in-line?

u/tglodjo · 1 pointr/steelseries

Something like this? I can find several USB hubs, but not much that lets an incoming USB be split between two outputs.

It’s this keypad here ^ , it’s a great keypad if you don’t have a lot of space!

I wonder if something like this would help...

The 800s are, by a significant margin, the best headphones or headset I have ever worn. My only complaint is that I can't take them on the bus with me to and from work because if I could, I would. The sound quality is through the roof compared to anything else I've ever worn.

I haven't had a ton of super high quality headphones in my life. The previous headsets I've used include: Logitech G230 wired, Logitech G430 wireless, Logitech G930 wireless, Bluedio R+ (link), and Turtle Beach X12.

The 800s smoke all of those, no questions at all. I'm not sure how they compare to more modern competitors, as I haven't even for a second thought I needed an upgrade. When I had my battery issue (the post to which you originally replied), I actually thought about DOWNGRADING because I didn't think I really needed a headset this good.

So yeah, those are my thoughts.

Yes I did do this. It did work and I still have a full bottle to use on anything else I find that needs to be bonded. I didn't think I'd have the issue with the glue as my setup is in my basement so it never gets very hot, but it did end up peeling off the top right-most grip. Here's the exact glue I purchased from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OAAUAX8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
