You might want to look up one of those "vertical" mice. I've had more and more problems with the wrist of my mouse hand aching more and more over the years. I got myself one of these Logitech MX Vertical mice a few weeks ago and man, it has done the trick. Pricey, but man, it has helped so much. Aching; Gone.

It took a few weeks to really get used to it, but it's worked incredibly well.
The only real quibbles I have with it are weirdly placed forward/back buttons, the price (which is a tad high) and the fact I keep knocking it all the time when I move my hand over my desk for something without thinking.

Also, obligatory "A controller? Ewww!"
Though in all seriousness, you'd be seriously hamstringing yourself with a controller in STO.

EDIT

Just noting what worked for me. Your mileage may vary.

So wait, let me see if I can organize your list of gripes with the game. Here's what you've said here that you "shouldn't have to do":

  • Pay money
  • Grind
  • Use oh-so-many abilities

I think I may have just the game for you.

Seriously though, you're making assertions that simply aren't true. The only content you may be limited from playing without some (not all) MK XIV gear is the Elite queues and PvP against the top-notch players. Everything else in the game is still perfectly playable with any gear you currently have.

Just because there are $50 and $100 combo packs of shit to buy doesn't mean you have to buy them. They don't provide any advantage in terms of effectiveness in playing the game.

Uh, Windows 7 had a 32bit version. Might want to do some fact checking in the future.

Edit: W10 32bit as well

I recently picked this up.

For laptopping under your budget, it's able to run GTA in high/very high settings and STO maxed out.

Man, my fleet mates have permanently ruined the image of that ship for me. It really does look like a dildo with tickler... NSFW!
