Hey brother, there's a little book (seriously pocket-sized!) many would call the quick reference bible for English grammar:

Strunk and White's The Elements of Style - under $5 for a new physical copy! I use it every single time I'm editing... basically, whenever I have a shadow of a doubt about any rule.

One quick read through can help immensely with formatting and editing, and I think you could very well find it informative and beneficial :)

Keep writing, my man! Always happy to see people getting involved in creative pursuits.

The solution for me? Bought it for PC, HDMI to my TV, wireless 360 controller and one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Keyboard-Built-In-Multi-Touch/dp/B005DKZTMG

Best xbox game I've ever played now! lol. Selling this POS console. It's truly the "Windows Vista" of gaming.

The Portable Standalone version is also really nice, although it would probably need a little setup to start streaming, but for just recording it's awesome. What nice is you can plug a usb drive into it and record gameplay even when away from a PC, or plug it into PC and use the software. Plus it's got a big red button for recording, you can't beat big red buttons.

Mine are X12s, I was given mine as a gift new in box. Lasted about 4 months before the millimeter wide O rings to allow the ear cups to swivel snapped. Cheapest headset I've ever owned, and I've owned what must have been the cheapest Logitech PC Headset from 2004, which a seller apparently still has stock for. Was given the Logitech one for free too, used. Cable gave out on that one, didn't have a replacement jack, person who gave me the TBs threw the headset out in front of me before giving me a different pair from Thermaltake. Microphone broke but was still attached, and then it snapped off because someone else decided to slap it down every time they passed me. Cable gave out on the Thermaltakes too, but that one was braided.

I have a great history with headsets, if you couldn't tell. I need ones made of either aluminium or steel, which I cannot currently afford.

It's not quite Tone, but the best you'll probably find are some of the Atlas figures from the first game. Tone is sort of a tweak on the base Atlas chasis. Both the Play Arts Kai and THREEZERO figures are extremely nice.

I have a capture card that I use with my PS4: The Elgato HD60. I'm an adult with disposable income so the price wasn't a big deal for me(especially considering how often I use it), but that may not be the case for those with differing financial situations. It's pretty good for what it does, but it also has a number of drawbacks. I won't get into those here, but if you're seriously interested, I'd recommend reading up on it and other capture cards before making a decision.

Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ILD5846/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_rHZRCbP5CGJBN

$11.99

It is fairly simple prop to make. I left it assembled and primed it with black spray paint. Then I brushed on acrylic paint. This gives it a rough texture unfortunately, but removes the need to disassemble like air brushed versions. I distressed it by “chipping” the edges for wear and caking the handle to give it a thicker texture.

It was actual made for a Destiny cosplay costume for one of my kids. And yes, it is fully operational.

For about $20-25, you can do this too with small tubes of paint. Only took a leisurely 3-4 hours over a few nights to complete.

Hope this helps anyone who is interested in trying this.

Thanks to u/Charlie_Catz for posting originally and showing what’s possible with a little imagination...

Yeah, those guys are pros.

In my experience, most players aren't using advanced techniques like air-strafing for that extra speed, and they're just getting across the map with decent regular-wall-running. But the guys on the top of the scoreboard often do know slide-hopping/air-strafing.

First, focus on good walling running and parkour. Then worry about air-strafing later. Also, air-strafing pretty much requires either the Evolved controller layout, or Bumper Jumper, or a controller with underside paddles. That's because you must be able to jump without having to take a thumb off the joysticks. I personally went with this because I didn't feel like relearning the buttons for Evolved or Bumper Jumper.

On a semi-related note: Also consider boosting your Field of View (FoV) settings. It'll enhance your peripheral vision (making the camera slightly fish-eyed), and as a small side effect you feel slightly faster. By default it's 90º but I recommend 110º.

everything i've heard/read says that while, technically, there is a slight performance drop, it's so small you might as well not count it. I believe it's like you said, a 1%ish drop. The extra 40 mhz on core and memory clock I have from OC Guru more than make up for it, that's a 4%-5% increase.

Also, I don't know what 760 you're using but I'm using one of the more beast models, the Windforce Rev 2.0 by Gigabyte. Although I do regret not getting the 4GB one now, Titanfall ultra needs 3GB VRAM, Shadow of Mordor needs 4GB+ for ultra textures. Still love it but I wish I had spent the extra $35ish for the extra VRAM.

Ah that makes more sense. Living in the States, my house (built in '74) seems "old," but I suppose that is a regionally skewed perspective. Certain things about the wiring are funky, but switching from 802.11n to using these has been a dream.

My main contention with your comment is "in general". I believe powerline communication is generally a more robust, higher quality connection than wireless. Specific situations would be exceptions (as in most things), but I don't really have any data to back that up. For all I can prove, it may be the case (especially taking the Old World into account) that wireless networks are more reliable for most people.

I really appreciate the help! My laptop is a Dell Inspiron i7559. Its this one to be more exact https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i7559-5012GRY-3840x2160-Touchscreen-i7-6700HQ/dp/B015PYZI8E.

Current resolution setting is 3840 x 2160 (recommended). Scaling is at 250% (recommended).

If it helps, the Logitech G710+ seems to be pretty similar in price to this Titanfall one, and it's got mechanical keys. Can't speak to it personally, but it'll probably at least last longer. Looks like there's some decently priced mechanical keys out there these days.

These are the exact ones I used for both kneepads and shoulderpad.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018GWO7M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

For the shoulder pad just take one and flip it upside down, works pretty good if you can attach it to a vest properly

>2560by1440 max resolution for a single monitor. You can go wider but 1440p max vertical.

Why are you talking out of your ass? Here's an example of a monitor with a higher resolution http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PQ321Q-31-5-Inch-4K-Monitor/dp/B00DJ4BIKA

>Very few games actually support 4k.

Depends on what you mean by support. Some games like BF3 are terrible at 4k because the UI doesn't scale at all, so things like your minimap would be tiny. But simply running at 4k? Almost every single game made in the last 10 years support it.

I've seen a few comments, here and there, during the week with questions on where you can find them. Best place I've found them:

Collective Minds Strike Pack F.P.S. Dominator Controller Adapter with MODS & Paddles for PS4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L8QHXJA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_se..BbPNW82S4

Programmable and reduces the likelihood of frying a good controller

u/Cdazx · 1 pointr/titanfall

It's on sale on PS4 on Amazon now.

u/rhett816 · 1 pointr/titanfall

It's on sale at Amazon for $35 right now. (consoles only)

I think it's worth buying it now instead of dealing with those crowds or lagged websites in a couple weeks.

u/rami_mardini · 3 pointsr/titanfall

Get this, heard about it a few days ago and immediately ordered one, it's basically a poor man's elite controller (just programmable paddles, which is what most people want scufs/elite controllers for)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L8QHXJA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_WsdcybNF3R6ZQ

u/zac115 · 2 pointsr/titanfall

You can actually buy it on Amazon. Now I will warn you the bumper pack comes with mods built in. But the reason I use it is because it requires you to have it connected to your Playstation I said that there is zero lag time between the controller and the system itself and it was the only one I could find on Amazon. But using mods are for no skill players.
