Bulk double edge(DE) can be very cheap. [If you were to stick to a specific brand they can be under $20 for 100 blades.] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EXPTR0W/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_a_it?qid=1462244008&sr=8-2&keywords=astra&pi=SX200_QL40) A blade usually lasts 3-5 or more shaves. You have to purchase a razor(the part that holds the blade) separately or in a kit with a DE. Most people suggest that you get a handle and a sampler pack of blades to find which ones fit you best (there is a difference).
Along with all of this is traditional wet shaving with a brush and shaving soap which can be a very pleasant experience.
I have a sampler of blades, this one to be exact. So I have a while until I run out.
I'm also going to go on vacation soon and will be in Germany for 2 days. I'll see what I can find out there. I think I might eventually go to a straight razor shave.
Something like this?
the blades came from this $20 sampler pack. so far i've only used the Astras as they came with the razor.
I know you've got a ton of blades, but I'd think about a different sampler. The one you picked is all blades from the same manufacturer (and factory, IIRC), so there may not be a huge variety from one line to the next. I actually just bought this one, which costs a bit more but has several different countries represented.
