I've never had a problem with my Gigaware cables, under any version of windows or with any make or model of PLC.
Here's the Amazon page but the only place I ever bought them from was RadioShack. Which I was even able to find in stock at a brick and mortar the last time I forgot mine and needed one in a hurry.
It does have its own drivers, so /u/BCI_Jeff's might be a better option.
