I think you got the wrong subreddit. I recommend reposting on r/suggestalaptop.

But to answer your question the first one Acer Aspire V 15 looks promising from your choices. It has a SSD, a known long battery life, and a better graphics card.

this Acer Aspire V 15 is a great option. Intel Core i5 cpu, NVIDIA GTX 950M gpu, 8GB DDR4 ram, 256GB SSD as well as this Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7-571G-50VG Intel Core i5 cpu, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 4GB gpu, 1TB HDD + 128GB SSD storage. both laptops have a pretty good built as well as battery life.

Seems like something like this Acer or this Asus would be ideal. I'm trying to see if anywhere else has it.

The other good option would be this Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro which has an i7-6500U, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 950M graphics, and a great 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS Touch display. That would have no issues running all of your tabs and applications and has a decent GPU to play games when you found the time.

I would recommend this Acer Aspire V 15because it comes with very good screen quality like you wanted, 8 GB of ram which is enough ram for smooth multi tasking, Good SSD storage (256GB) for faster booting and and overall performance, your preferred screen size, within your budget, and offers great value for money.

You're welcome, glad I could help.

There is also a few other options :

well in that case i would definitely go with the Acer Aspire V15 however the one i linked before lacks a gpu and is only a dual core laptop so i suggest you take a look at this one...... [Acer Aspire V15]
(https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-NVIDIA-Windows-V5-591G-55PV/dp/B01ER4AJPU/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473725579&sr=1-2&keywords=Acer+Aspire+V+15)....This one come with a quad-core Intel i5-6300HQ 2.3 Ghz (Up to 3.2GHz turbo boost), 8GB DDR4 Memory and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M with 2GB VRAM (if you want to do a bit of gaming).

what about the acer aspire v15 then

u/BearsEatGrub · 1 pointr/SuggestALaptop

How is this? I can't find any information about weight but I can't imagine it'll be over 4 pounds. For the games you've listed, you should average between 40 to 60 FPS at medium settings.

I would go with this Acer Aspire
It has everything you want, and saves you $100. (Plus, it looks nicer imo)
But don't just go off of my word. I am not extremely experienced, so while I am confident I have the best advice right now, listen to other people's suggestions.

The Acer Aspire V 15 is actually a better pick.. Much better processor and graphics card.

Amazon.ca has it, however you'd be paying around a CDN$200 premium over the exchange rate. This is generally less than ideal.

The Canadian laptop market tends to be both very limited and expensive, so your options are a bit scarce. You could consider this CDN$1000 Acer V5-591G-55PV. It's pretty comparable to the Dell i7559, but has a slightly weaker GPU.
