All RAM is really SDRAM, we just kinda dropped that part and say ddr3 or ddr4 now

For example if you look at that module on amazon https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-AD4U240038G17-R-2400MHz-memory-module/dp/B01J8F9Y9A it says SDRAM in the product description

Is this the RAM you use? https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-AD4U240038G17-R-2400MHz-memory-module/dp/B01J8F9Y9A

Which CPU do you have? I'd focus on getting faster RAM first

As far as your questions go:

  • You could realistically buy whatever ram you like and as long as it's at least 2400MHz, it'd run at that speed.
  • Yes, the voltage matters. However, DDR4's standard voltage is 1.2V anyways so pretty much anything would work

    My $0.02:

  • Buy whatever kit you want or just rebuy what you have
  • If it was my PC, I would just buy 16GB of faster RAM

I currently have 16gb of ram: ADATA Premier DDR4 VALUE RAM U-DIMM CL17 2400

The two sticks are obviously on the cheap end of things. Is it worth upgrading to a better/faster 16gb Ram like Corsair Dominator Platinum or something?
