one thing you might try is buying one of these overly amped models the ones that say 150 miles and cost $35... they are almost 100% amp heh .. but if you can catch a bite of a signal then you might have better results with a better antenna.. even if the signal is a bit or a lot flaky .. if you get nothing then .. its like 75% likely you wont get anything unless you can build a tower higher than the big ass mountain :o)

OP might try that too.. get it off amazon warehouse cheap with the ability for easy returns.
