The only thing I use my Viparspectra for is to clone and maintain a basil plant (that is growing quite slowly). I prefer T5s for veg, especially with the new bulbs (see http://eyehortilux.com/t5-fluorescent-grow-lights/). I would pick HPS over LED for flower. A true LED system is very expensive, and anyhow, I would probably choose a plasma light instead (like this: https://www.amazon.com/Alphalite-Plasma-Light-Emitting-Horticultural/dp/B00K395D8W/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1510761003&sr=1-1&keywords=plasma+light) as the spectrum is complete. You don't get the UVB with LEDs either... well most. I personally use a 600W HPS for flower.
