This is the monitor. It may not be the best.. But hoping it does the job!

u/Toksyn25 · 2 pointsr/RocketLeague

TBH I wouldn't go for a 1920x1080 27' Monitor, they don't look good, so if you're going for a 27' monitor go with a 2560x1440. Also you'll get more input lag if you play on a TV.

This is probably your best bet.

$50 RAM (new), $200 1440p Monitor (new). GPU is a bit harder for $300, but I've seen plenty for that price local in NY. You could get it easily for $350 on ebay or /r/hardwareswap, but if you wait you can see a bunch for $300 usually. You could probably get a better monitor too if you buy it used.

u/Samurai_TwoSeven · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

This is the cheapest 2k monitor I could find, but it has 60Hz

You aren't going to get 2k 144Hz cheaply, but this one is fairly affordable.

If you want G-Sync over Free-Sync, then this one should suit your fancy

I haven't got one yet but this one looks pretty good. I have a 1080 graphics card right now and I'm gonna upgrade from my 1080p monitor to this 1440p and move the old monitor to a secondary one.

u/keefdathief · 1 pointr/buildapc

What do you think of this one?
It's a bit above what I was hoping to spend, but it seems like a pretty good deal and at the end of the day, what's an extra $50?

Looking for a 1440p 27 inch monitor, but I'm having trouble finding a decent one as my budget is less than $300. I found this:
https://www.amazon.com/AOC-Q2778VQE-27-Inch-2560x1440-Resolution/dp/B00VERZDEG/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1496187943&sr=1-1&keywords=monitor&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6570749011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A3547807011&th=1
which seems to be alright, but the frame seems pretty large, so I'm not sure if I should go for it. A 24 inch would def be within my budget but I'm not sure if it would look a bit strange next to my current 27 inch 1080p.

u/hitlersrighttesticle · 1 pointr/Monitors

In the $300's. The best bang for the buck is a Viotek GN27DB. It's a VA panel instead of an IPS, which has better blacks and better viewing angles. It can have some ghosting but that shouldn't be a problem for you since you're not doing fast paced gaming. IPS have great color but can suffer from back light bleed (so blacks come out grey).

Actually, this one might be a good one for you. It's under your budget and IPS.

Would you recommend it?

I've seen this one on Amazon for $256:

[27" 1440p, 60 hz] (https://www.amazon.com/AOC-Q2778VQE-27-Inch-2560x1440-Resolution/dp/B00VERZDEG/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pdt_img_top?ie=UTF8)

I've also seen this off-brand one on eBay:

[Korean seller, 27" 1440p, probably 60 hz] (http://www.ebay.com/itm/121362611435)

I found an open-box one on MonoPrice, but I've never used them as a company:

1440p 144 hz

I'm not experienced with monitors, so I'm not sure what the difference between the one OP posted and these ones.

u/ItsSkyline · 1 pointr/Monitors

I have this and it's fantastic. 27" 1440p and it's below 300$. I can't say from experience about 1080p being worse at 27" but the pixel density is increased making it look not as sharp as say a 24" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VERZDEG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Y97pzb3VXMY3D

u/Lonxu · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

Quick browse through the pcpartpicker:

$249 1440p 60Hz 27"

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VERZDEG/?tag=pcpapi-20

$389 1440p 144Hz 27"

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/t4Crxr/acer-monitor-umhg0aa001

$645 1440p 144Hz G-sync 27"

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/BcTrxr/dell-monitor-s2716dg

$289 4K 60Hz 28"

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Rk98TW/aoc-monitor-u2879vf

1440p 144Hz is in my opinion the ultimate gaming monitor, but G-sync versions cost a lot. It can be a bit smoother picture, but not sure it's worth paying that much for it.

There's also this site that can be quite helpful: http://www.144hzmonitors.com/best-gaming-monitor/

u/SG_Xcaliber · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Any thoughts on this monitor for the price)

I'm upgrading from this one

Thanks in advance.

Hi! I've read a lot of monitor reviews and finally stopped on this one:

27" AOC Q2778VQE

Anyone here using it? Is it decent? Any better alternatives for the $200-250?

My main criteria is 24"-27", QHD, response time <=5ms. Thanks!

u/red286 · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

Those specs are fairly common. I mean, obviously not as common as 24" 1080p, but it's not like 4K 144Hz.

They tend to start at around $350 for a 27" model (eg - the AOC Q2778VQE). Sale prices might give you ~$50 off that.

Looking to upgrade to a 1440p monitor to go with my new 1070. (Currently using 1080p).

Can someone recommend a monitor to me in the 200-400 price point? I'm looking for low response time, >60hz refresh rate if possible. IPS would be nice but not necessary.

Currently looking at these two and can't decide which is better:

Thanks for the detailed response. I plan on primarily using it for VR/PC gaming, but it seems the general consensus is that I should upgrade the CPU - undecided now between i5-6500/6600/6600K. This is my first build so I'm still learning as I go. Great suggestion to go with Windows 7 and upgrade, for some reason I thought the upgrade window had already passed.

My main machine currently is a 27" iMac - I don't have any decent monitors around to use. I was hoping for the new monitor to be flexible enough for a couple of different uses as needed: PC display, 2nd monitor for iMac, and display for gaming consoles. Since I'm used to 2560x1440 on my main computer I originally looked into it for this new monitor, but was put off by the high prices. I just found this AOC monitor at $250 (27" @ 2560x1440) which looks like it might be a good fit for my needs.

> Hi, recently I have been having a problem with my computer monitor not turning on sometimes. The computer turns on and everything but the monitor stays black. This happened once a long time ago but what I did was just leave it alone for a couple hours and it started working again. I doubt this method will work again so I hope you guys can help me. Also I know that the monitor is not broken.

I plan on having 3 monitors so it needs to be large enough and steady enough to fit 3 with extra space for keyboard, mouse, various random things i place on my desk. I have been looking at the turismo gaming desk but was wondering if anyone had any better suggestions or if anyone has the turismo and has a review that would help me decide. Thanks so much in advance :)
