    So a complete mount would be 1+2+3 or 1+2+4.

    I use both options, depending on vehicle. When attaching the dual T tab plate to the ProClip mount (#2 to #4), I had to use short wood screws instead of the included machine screws. Both have worked flawlessly for years over multiple phones. This is the most solid phone mount solution I have found, far better than suction cups or flimsy air vent mounts.
