Desk is from here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UHTYZ4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Took me about 3 hours to put together. Wasn't difficult at all. It's mostly prep. You get all the pieces out and insert the fasteners in them. Once everything is prepped it goes together really easily.

I did add some L brackets to the piece that connects the Tower Cabinet to the center as it was kind flimsy. Other than that one section, this desk is solid. The top is a good Inch + thick, I can sit on it and I weight 230 lbs.

I use this desk. It's big but really nice. It takes two people and a bit of time to put together though.

It is a Bestar Hampton Corner Desk. It's served me well for quite some time but it is on it's last legs. Too many moves have loosened it up quite a bit, but I highly recommend it. It certainly isn't shoddy construction, I just haven't been careful enough the 10 times I've had to disassemble and reassemble it.

That was actually what I was going for a little. I call mine a "command center" more than a "battlestation", so the cockpit comparison isn't too far off!

The shelf is actually part of the desk, which is a Bestar Corner Workstation (https://www.amazon.com/Bestar-Hampton-workstation-Granite-Charcoal/dp/B001UHTYZ4). It's pretty fantastic, but it is HUGE. I had to bore some holes in the back of the shelf for some cabling routing, otherwise this wouldn't look anywhere near as neat.
