Coffee does help but the acid may upset her tummy, it did mine and made me quite sad but tea might be another alternative she can try if it coffee doesn't help. Honestly there wasn't much else to do about the fatigue at least that was the case for me. I just had to tough it out/sleep a lot more than usual until my second trimester. It does get better with the second trimester, I would have never believed it until it happened. Congrats on your upcoming LO!
Also I found this book very helpful: Better Food for Pregnancy It has a lot of great recipes in it. If you have a Half Price Books near you I got it for $5 there.
