Hi there. I'm looking to start a new aquarium, but my apartment management will only overlook so much before they demand a full pet deposit and bleed me even drier, so I have to try and stay under 15 gallons.
I have recently found about the biOrb Tube 35 (https://www.amazon.com/biOrb-45974-0-Tube-White-Aquariums/dp/B06XDMLFJJ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1535852691&sr=8-2&keywords=biorb+tube+35) I love the design of it and it's just the right size, even though the price is pretty steep. I was hoping to stock it with a betta and a school of amber tetras and maybe some snails or shrimp to clean up after them.
As an alternative, I've also scoped out the Top Fin Mesmerize (https://www.petsmart.com/fish/starter-kits/top-fin-mesmerize-cylinder-aquarium-starter-kit-49930.html?cgid=300128).
My question is: Should I get ANY kind of cylinder aquariums? Are they really that destructive to the fish in them?
If y'all think that it's absolutely a no-no to get a cylindrical tank, what would you recommend?
Thank you!
