yeah good idea. doesn't need to be 1080p but wanted high-resolution. the fire is a good idea, and everything else specs-wise is aligned.

it's BLU which is 'off-brand', but enough reviews say it works as a daily phone that I think it will work for our purposes (kiosk)
You could do that, or you could have your trusted friend buy a $50 phone.
Just to be certain, give your friend one of your data-only SIM, unless he is a European citizen they are going to have a hard time buying a SIM there (5-7 business day waiting and even then.. it's not a sure thing).
