I can second this. I got Anker's (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JJNYQY/) off Amazon last July for less than $30, and the sound quality and battery life are great. Use them many times weekly.
Thought I would miss it. Really don't. (Pixel 2).
For calls, I'm usually in my car or at my desk. I typically use the dongle adapter for wired earphones.
For exercise, I've always used wired behind the neck earphones. Now I'm using these bluetooth ones. I love them. They fit well, sound good (for music and calls), and have a great battery. Amazing bang for your buck.
I'm no sound aficionado though. But, sometimes I wonder if all the negativity is about complaining for the sake of complaining.
