My 20-month-old son can't get enough of Blue Hat, Green Hat.

It's the first book he memorized well enough to "read" a page back to me. Her books are easy to understand and very silly.

I ain't birthed no babies! Happy Birfday!

Congrats to your sister in law! I'm pregnant, also, and I'm due this winter sometime. I'm high risk, so I'll be inducing early, so I'm not sure when he'll be here.

These baby books on my wish list make me really happy, because I can't wait to read them to my little booger! I nanny, and I've read this author's entire series to most of the kids I watch. They're HILARIOUS, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for any more baby presents!

Books? I'd say you should make sure you've read Lord of the Rings, HARRY POTTER DUH, and Twilight. Dorky, yes, but there are some series books with a lot of hype that you should make sure you've read.

I'd stick with classics like "Goodnight Moon." My kids (now 8, 8 and 5) can recite that book word for word because we've read it so much...and gone through 5 copies of it.

Susan Boynton has some awesome books for little ones. The kids and I always loved them. You can see some of her books here.

I know it's not kick ass, but books....Specifically Board books (babies love to tear shit up). Example: Sandra Boynton Books

When my kid was 1 , she'd rather flip through those books than have toys
