Shouldn't be hard to find good-quality used in good condition -- it's the sort of thing people get as a gift, or get excited about and think they'll use all the time, and then end up not using.

If you can find it going cheap on eBay or some such, the Braun Multiquick is terrific. I buy and sell better kitchen appliances, among other things, as a small side hustle and have tested a ridiculous variety of small appliances and this is the one that gets to live on my counter. It does everything it's supposed to beautifully, comes with a lot of blades, and, importantly, the bowl is freaking enormous (still mixes up small quantities with no problems) and the speed is adjustable, which is a "How did I exist without this?" sort of feature once you get it. Loads more control over the end result!

But Cuisinart is trading a lot on their name nowadays; they are not what they used to be. Considering how many times you could re-purchase the Hamilton Beach if it broke before you'd regret not buying the Cuisinart, and its good reviews, I'd get the cheaper one unless I was a near-daily user. (Or I'd be out scouring the thrift stores for a 1980s Cuisinart.)

I have recently bought a food processor after much research, old Cuisinarts were very reliable but the newer models had some issues. After digging through an unimaginable amount of reviews and such I found what suited me. A Braun K650 CombiMax

We bought a Braun Combimax after reading online. It is strong, quiet, and well outfitted with accessories. My favorite thing is that the box has a label printed on the top flaps that show how to repack the unit and all of the parts.

However, they aren't common. You may opt for a KitchenAid or a Cuisinart simply for their ubiquity. If you need an accessory, pop over to the local store and get one.

Another consideration is use. Will you use it a lot? If so, how much space does it take up? If not, where will you store it for easy access? Does it have a juicer? Does it have a blender? Most of them will chop, whip, dice, shred, etc.

The Cuisinart hasn't been nice in decades and is now made my Lifetime brands.

Check out this unit from Braun.

Could you tell me the capacity on it? Only ones I'm seeing are the one that I listed and then this one.
