The Postman by David Brin. The movie was terrible, but the book is great.
Far North by Marcel Theroux.
The Road. One of the best post-apocolyptic books ever written.
Oryx and Crake. Very good and somewhat pertinent to our life and times. After the flood is also very good, and a companion to Oryx and Crake.
Also as a side note, just read this collection of dystopian stories, and it was excellent. Made me paranoid for weeks. http://www.amazon.com/Brave-New-Worlds-Dystopian-Stories/dp/1597802212
