The shock for the hottub is usually more granular, like randomsnap said, and sold differently. You'll want to add it in slowly with all pumps running. The tabs you linked are meant to be used with a bromine dispenser, like this set up:

I hope you didn't just drop the tablets in the hot tub and have them sitting on the bottom because this can ruin the coating on the shell of the hot tub. It's very important, even when you're shocking the hot tub, that it doesn't remain in contact with the shell for too long.
The tablets are really meant to maintain the level of bromine after you use the shock to get it to where it needs to be, not as a means to bring it to the proper level.
