I have and recommend the Series A Corner Desk from Bush Furniture [Amazon]; actually, I have two of them side-by-side to create a half circle. Just by rotating my chair I can switch from my desktop to a 'traditional' desk setup for reading / laptop, etc.

Pros:

  • sturdy, high quality construction
  • plenty of room underneath for tower / equipment /storage
  • access ports and channels to run cables underneath the desk
  • designed to mix & match with other furniture pieces in the same series, so you can customize your setup (like I did by combining two of the same desk)

    Cons:

  • the back corner of the desk can be difficult to clean and run cables if you have the desk backed into a corner of a room, due to the depth of the desk & solid sides; you'll want to have one of those dusters with an extension to prevent a chaparral of dust bunnies from collecting behind your monitor
  • has a large 'footprint' so you'll need a decently sized area to use this comfortably; other pieces in the series may fit your particular room better, so be sure to double-check dimensions & clearances before you buy
  • no 'smoking' BF deal here, but you are buying quality, IMO
  • you'll want someone to help you during the assembly, as the better construction quality also means the pieces are heavier than the typical IKEA piece

Definitely take a look at the other pieces in the same series to see if one is a better fit for your needs. AFAIK, they are identical construction quality, just different sizes/configurations. I'm very happy with mine, and I get as many compliments on the desk(s) as I do my rig.

From the look of it, he has this one's bottom assembly/frame with this top. Both say the bottom color is "Slate" but the one with the natural cherry top looks like it has a lighter colored frame.

I got the one in cherry. Not a bad desk but apparently there have been issues with consistent (mostly minor) damage to the parts—most often the table top part—either from shipping or where it's manufactured. I had to get a replacement for my desk's top which had a gash on one of the corners when I first received it.
