I went through this recently with my new Sony XBR75X900F and a PC I use as part of my home theater, I had purchased an adapter similar to yours except it was mini displayport to HDMI and it would not work even though I know the video card itself can drive my 4K BenQ monitor.

Then I got a proper cable (free, from one of my I.T. friends) and instantly saw full 4k@60hz on the TV when I connected it.

So, for starters I would get a cable like this one:

Ram speed is currently showing 2133 I think as I am currently at work but rated at 3000. I think I found the place where I can change this last night and ended up doing so but reverted it back because I was worried about messing something up.

I would have to order a display port to HDMI as there are not any displayports on my TV. I looked at this but it seems that that it only displays at 30hz. My TV currently goes up to 60HZ, is there one out there that does that too? Or should I just get this?

Get a DisplayPort to HDMI cable (or adapter) and use that for your TV. Then use the actual HDMI port on your card for the Vive. I have tested a couple of different configurations and cable setups with the GTX 970 and that seems to work the best.

My vive display was very inconsistent when I was using displayport to the mini-displayport on the breakout box. With only 1 hdmi out, I needed some other solution to have my TV and the vive connected. I ended up using getting this cable to go from the computer to the TV, and used pure HDMI for the vive.

Your mileage may vary, but that cable (after trying too many other types) did the trick for me.

I never saw an adapter but I have seen a cable which is HDMI on one end and DP on the other.
