Timex Camper 100M water resistant, so it's basically "waterproof" for anything short of SCUBA. It has "Indiglo" which is a very bright back light for reading the watch in the dark. Timex is a solid brand name, and quartz watches are robust.
Or maybe the Casio Forester It also has 100m WR and a back light, although the back light on the TImex is better.
