I wash it and shape the bristled while it’s wet and hang it upside down to dry. I also always use conditioner when I wash them to keep the hairs healthy. Then when I store it I keep them i these mesh sleeves so it holds the bristles in instead of it spreading out and snagging on things.

Ooh! I can answer this. I bought both the 'Brush Guard' ones linked above (from Beautylish) as well as these from Amazon. I travel often (work + fun) and these save all of my prissy Japanese brushes from getting hurt in the bustle. I actually prefer the cheaper ones. They're thinner so they mold to the shape of my brushes better and thus move less (the other ones are stiff and sometimes slide backwards on the bristles).
