If you can manually OC you can get Ballistix Sport LT 3200mhz for $95-$105 CAN for 2x8 GB or 2x16GB for like $205. They are Micron e-die so OC extremely well on the cheap. I have my bro's 3000 cl15 kits at 3733mhz cl15. Anything with "AES" in the product code from them is e-die, so not all of them .

Isn’t this the same model as Amazon ? It’s $140 there, but also has Prime shipping/return policy
All Kits with AES in the part number have Rev E chips
16GB (2x8GB)
32GB (2x16GB)
It should work fine. I have similar Vengeance RAM running with my R5 3600/Asus Prime X370-PRO setup and I don't have any problems.
It's probably not the best RAM for Ryzen as I believe most Vengeance RAM is Hynix memory modules, and Ryzen tends to like Samsung B-die or Micron E-die memory best (in terms of getting the best performance).
Buildzoid suggested the Crucial Ballistix LT RAM for Ryzen 3000 as it's Micron E-die and fairly cheap.
I believe by definition a 2 x 16gb b die configuration would be dual rank, meaning it would cost much more to produce compared to single rank memory as dual rank has many more chips. $280-300 minimum for a kit like that.
Thankfully if you're really set on a fairly fast 2 x 16 dual rank configuration you can just buy this $140 2 x 16 Micron Rev E ballistix kit and comfortably hit 3600-3800 cl16 with less than 1.45V, which is pretty sweet.
Meh deal, plus if you're interested, make sure to get the 3200 version at only 2$ more.
Here.
I'd recommend this kit: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3000 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 32GB (16GBx2) CL15 BLS2K16G4D30AESC (White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MD3WDLS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0uUtDbHSZKR7K
Or this: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 32GB (16GBx2) CL16 BLS2K16G4D32AESC (White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5RKH5Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_AvUtDbH39VM9T
It's micron rev E and is pretty overclockable. You should be able to get 3600c16 pretty easily on that kit and it doesn't cost nearly as much as b-die.
Yeah im aware of the biod update, as the chances of MSI to refresh the b450 motherboards (MAX versions) wth udated bios chips. I didnt know the difference was so small, thats good to know. While i game a lot, i do work as designer and illustrator, so Photoshop/CSP and browser with refference content eats my ram too fast, i like to Play and dont have to close everything.
i was aiming to these ballistic ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M5RKH5Z/
fell like a fair price by the.
Go Ballistix and push it to 3600C16.

Actually, let me get you the exact link. The previous link was to their 3000/CL15. This is 3200/CL16:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5RKH5Z/?coliid=I1N5WHJDV80F3H&colid=N18ZMY4T5UQM&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
Not that there's much difference, really. It's probably the exact same IC's.
A few guys have hit 3600 CL14 with that stuff, and it seems like the majority are able to get 3600 CL15, and you would be extremely unlucky if you can't get 3600 CL16.
Edit: tagging you in this post as I'm not sure you'll get a notification since I replied to my own post. /u/Cynical_musings
What's the best RAM combination out of the following, assuming same price? 3700x on B450 Carbon.
All Crucial Ballistix Micron E Die. Listing
-3200/16 8gbx4 SR
-3200/16 16gbx2 DR

Hi I'm building a gaming rig with the mindset I'm keeping my rig for 4-5 years so I'm getting 32gb.
Would you advice getting 4x8 or 2x16?
My motherboard will be asrock x470 taichi. The 4x8 kit is on the qvl so I assume 2x16 will work too.
For overclocking will there be little to no difference between 2x16 Vs 4x8?
2x16

4x8

So what should I do for compatibility and overclocking 4x8 or 2x16?
Thank you
