I'm not a very feminine girl, so for my interviews I usually go with slacks, a nice but plain shirt, a sweater, and a pair of pretty boots (I take interviews as an excuse to buy new boots, last set of interviews I got these). If they won't hire me because I 'dressed wrong' for the interview, they were probably a terrible fit for me.
