I've been wanting a pair of leather brown lace-up boots for a long time, but they've been trendy for so long that I'm a little bit worried that they might go out of style. Not that I'm that wrapped up in trends, but I only buy high-quality durable shoes and I don't want to drop $100-200 on something I won't have many chances to wear.

I've been browsing amazon for a while and I've found these and these, but Frye is so expensive and I'm not sure if I could find something of similar quality for less $.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

  • Will they go out of style?
  • Are they comfortable?
  • Any better brands? (waterproof would be preferred but not necessary)
  • Could I wear boots this style in a business casual environment? (I'm a terrible judge of that)
