I know you guys are more interested in home and studio components, but after searching I have not found a recent post covering this. Anything online seems like an ad or covers smaller units.
3 years ago I purchased a Jawbone Big Jambox which seemed to be the ideal choice at the time, and I've been more than pleased with it. Unfortunately between beach sand, spilled beer, splashes, falls, and what sounds like a blown speaker, it's ready to be retired. I was ready to replace it with a new Big Jambox, but I believe they're only cranking out re-furbs now... There's also more choices in that tier of portable speakers. Any advice or other options would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello, I've been interested in buying a rugged, portable speaker with Bluetooth. My roommate has a Altec Life Jacket 3 and it sounds pretty good, has good bass and has great battery life. I've also been looking at the Fugoo Tough & Fugoo Tough XL speakers as well.
Not sure which would be better, also not sure what the difference is between the Fugoo Tough and Tough XL are (besides size)

EDIT: Apparently the only difference between the Tough/Sport/Style Fugoo's are the jackets. But I'm wondering if I should get the normal Fugoo or the Fugoo XL.
In case anyone here has money to burn, this thing is awesome. I'm not one for speakers on the course, but if I was I would ask Santa for it.
