I'm a flight attendant so I fly a lot (obviously) and all the pressure changes can really do damage over time. Every one of my coworkers says to wear compression tights. I like the tightness and they're super durable, but the compression part only comes up to the top of the thigh and I have big thighs so it really only comes up to not-quite-the-top of my thighs. So they're kind of awkward for me but something like this is a good option. These are machine washable which is awesome. I don't know if I'd recommend these specifically but is this kinda what you're looking for?
So the nicest ones I got from Belgium, from this brand called Veritas, because for some reason they are cheaper (about $10) there. So I have a hoard from there. I also have a pair from this Turkish store that we have in Boston called Penti. In both cases, I felt that because older women and mothers the non-American market seem less ashamed to be pretty or sexy, there were better options to be found - I even found compression hold-up tights in Belgium.
H&M occasionally carries some, and they seemed decent quality when I checked out the fabric, but I don't know about fit since I ended up not buying it. Amazon has a few also, but I haven't bought it there yet, since my current ones are still going strong. Drugstores carry some but they are really, really ugly.
Basically you need the ones that are very firm, and fully fashioned in the shape of a leg, with a heel like a sock, and gaining in circumference as you go up the leg. (It should look like a leg when you hold it up - the ones that are like tubes are complete crap.)
