Take a travel router. Connect it to the hotel internet. Connect you devices to it. It should insulate you from other people on the hotel network. I've not used it, but something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07794JRC5

Will love to hear how that one works for you! I ordered the router with two antennas (GL-AR300M16) since from what I read, it seems to set up easier and not have as many failures. I didn't think about the aspect of needing to replace both antennas though. I thought I could connect a single directional antenna and have it boost from that alone.

Or, would it be an option somehow to connect one port to a omni directional antenna and one to a directional and be able to hone into a signal better coupling the two?

I would run with a Gl.Inet mini router if you need to go that route. They're cheap and work really well

Buy a router that will work as a bridge and allow the connection of external wireless antennas. There are many on Amazon. I like the ones based on OpenWRT.

Then get a big ass antenna.
