I'd aim for Ryzen then. The current Intel CPUs are going to be the last to use that socket which means upgrading later will be a bigger process. Also, Ryzen is fantastic for multi-core/thread things like video editing.

I did a bit of searching on Amazon and came up with three options. They aren't the best you could do given they're pre-builts, but these aren't bad. :P

1 - The least over your price request. Lots of storage in the HDD and includes an SSD for the OS, which is nice. Good GPU for 1080p. Depending on your usage, you may want to drop in another RAM stick to bring it up to 16GB, but 8 is a good start. CPU isn't top of the line Ryzen, but right next to it.

2 - Bit more expensive. Slightly worse CPU than 1 and less space, but has more RAM.

3 - Compared to the other two, I probably wouldn't go with this one, but I have this thing about only giving people two choices. :P

For all of these, the biggest "risk" is that they don't list the power supply used. Could be fine, could be a time bomb. If you choose to get any of them, you'll want to check straight away if the PSU is any good (look up a professional review - Johnny Guru is great for that). If it's dangerous, replace it. If it's okay to good, you're set. :)

Pick up a used 4770 on eBay for $200 for editing, then buy a new video card for gaming. Sell the 4690 and 7950. They are expensive now, but you can get a 1060 6gb for under 300. Or sell your whole system and buy a new ryzen 1600 and 580 system for $1000
