I've had the i7-3820 for about 3 years now and haven't really had any issues at all but with this next jump in GPU and game technology I'm concerned it might be an issue and unfortunately I'm not too keen on CPUs when it comes to issues such as this.
It runs at 3.6 GHz and I've only tinkered around with OCing it a bit....any time I've adjusted the BIOS everything gets reset back to default so I'm not even sure it can be OC'd.
