Ha, $399? It's £430 in the UK. Only 2 places sell 8700Ks that are lower priced, and are on a flash sale on AriaPC and OverclockersUK that are taking advantage of the higher prices everywhere else to get guaranteed sales for themselves. Not realising that the 8086K is actually competitively priced compared to it. Sitting at £405 on Amazon UK.

I run the Z370H with the i7-8700K 4.7 Ghz - There are also options that include up to 5 Ghz

I suggest going with the Coffee Lake. I did, and it was well worth it.
